I'm sure there are other posts on this subject, can't find them...
we will be 7 nights YC, then moving to HRH @universal for 4 nights.
what would be the best/least expensive/least hassle way to make the move?

I'm assuming that you do not have a car. So rent one from National...Believe they may even have facility at the Dolphin.

National will pick you up at your hotel and bring you to their location(that is if they are not at Dolphin, cause you could walk there)
then you just pick family up at hotel and drive to HRH.
Think a one day rental might be cheaper than a taxi....

and personally I would keep the car and eat outside the world, is much cheaper ... There is a TGIF right across the street from HRH and further down the road there is a restaurant called Le Peep.. It is predominantely for breakfast and lunch....but boy oh boy is it delicious.

We have one hear in NJ and I love it. Great skillet egg dishes if you like that sort of thing.

I'm sure other people will have better ideas but that was my first notion....

btw, I love HRH...you will too!!

Last year we went from HRH to GF and we used Tiffany Town Cars. They were great. We used them going to and from the airport also.

The towncar companies will do a 3-leg trip. Last May we did two nights at HRH and then the rest of our trip onsite at WDW. It was around $110 for a 3 leg trip w/Quicksilver towncars.

do you remember how much $ it was? we have magical express from MCO to WDW........airport shuttle from HRH to MCO.. we are just trying to fill in the
WDW to HRH gap...any ideas?? thanks! :flower:

We did a three leg trip - airport to HRH, HRH to GF, GF to airport and I think it was about $140. I think it was $45 from HRH to GF, but I'm not absolutely sure.

We always rent a car for a split stay between WDW and Universal. SO convenient and you can eat offsite everynight which really comes in handy at Universal since they are even more expensive then Disney!

for my last 13 trips i do a legged trip.

i have gone the route of renting a car, taxi , town car and using the mears bus.

will not do a car rental again as i don't need it at disney and don't want to pay $9/day at hrh to park it.
taxi ran us $32
town car ran us $35

this for a one way from disney to universal hrh

Planning on getting a 2Day/2Park pass for Universal/Islands during our WDW '06 trip.

Since we'll still be staying on WDW property, only transportation to/from US/IOA is needed both days.

Mears is cheapest, but I am very uneasy about using them. A town car is a possibility, but the cost might be a bit prohibitive. Are there any other options?

So, tell me, why are you uneasy about Mears? I have seen there info, know they are a large company, but I am curious about your post. I'm not sure,
but since we will only be needing a 1 way trip from WDW to the HardRock,
we MAY opt for the $32-ish taxi....any thoughts from the rest of you???

I called FL tours and they said $40 for a van(6 people) and I need to call Tiffany...I thought they told me $30 for a van, but that seems to low. We are either doing a taxi or the van to move from YC to HRH
