WDW tickets - potential bargain

Helen,

Ive just been to the virgin site and its a great buy! But i cant see anywhere on that site that says you have to use them before 31st Oct - am i just looking in the wrong place or is this offer extended through this site?

Thanks

Emma

Hi Emma,

If you click on the 'Buy Online' you select the ticket price. This varies according to the date. The window for the lowest price is between May and October I think

Good luck
Helen

Well I just received an email from Virgin Customer Service telling me that the company will not ship International and credit card cost charges are usually 1 1/2%. I was excited that I may have be able to get these tickets but it looks like it is a no go. if anyone is able to purchase these just post to board.

DVCer97,

Did you try the original site recommended here on this post? It says right on the main page that they do accept order from the US. The site also says they have eliminated credit card transaction fees for online orders. I would suggest contacting them also and seeing if maybe it will work out there instead.

Here is the link http://www.theflightshop.co.uk/theme_price.htm

Good luck,

Well, I finally received a reply from Disney that says:

We believe that you are referring to the 10-Day Worldpass, which is marketed in the United Kingdom and other international markets. Although we do not monitor who uses the 10-day Worldpass tickets (since passes may be given as gifts), that type of pass is only available for purchase from those specific markets and does have certain limitations. The 10-Day Worldpass does have an expiration date and if it becomes demagnetized or damaged and needs to be reissued, you may be questioned as to where you purchased the pass

So, I guess it is chancey. I wish I knew someone I could have order it for me for a gift!

If I do decide to do this, I think I will wait until closer to the time we are going in July in case something changes & anyone has a problem.

I was hoping to wait until closer to the deadline, as I am traveling in July as well.

This link answers many questions that I had, and also had a great idea for moving your "travel dates" up (just the dates you give them, not the real dates...)(dates for May first or after) to insure that tickets are delivered promptly. Ren

Yes Rhoda, I did go to the original site and emailed them from that site asking what the shipping cost and credit fees would be instead they said I could rooms from them but they do not ship international which the website does say they do. Now I wonder what would happen if I were to place an order and give them the CC # would they send tickets with a very large service fee?

Jackie

The emailed I got is from Virgin not from Flight shop who did not repsond back to me as yet. I will palce an order for flight shop and see what happens.

If this site is always guaranteeing the lowest price in the UK, I wouls have to guess that in a few months they would have some other offer extending through perhaps December????

They can question as much as they want but there is no residency requirement like the Florida resident passes. My family in Germany would use these tickets without hesitation. If anyone is "nervous" they could always say, "I got them from my grandmother in England" or you bought them on a business trip. This is exactaly the type of pass my family could use and if they extend the offer I would buy them!

Has anyone received a reply as to wether they will ship to the US. I emailed but did not get a reply!!!

I have a relative in the travel industry in Orlando that has hinted that a 10-day pass would be available this spring. It sounds like the one but I hae not heard as to its availability and at what price in the states. If it expires than that would make it less attracitive to many. It does sound like a good deal though.

This 10-day World Hopper Pass sounds absolutely perfect for my family's trip in August. I just want to be certain that we can use them. Has anyone heard back from the Flight Shop about shipping fees to the US? Also, have any British citizens actually received the passes yet? If so, is there any indicators on the passes that would block US citizens from using them? Thanks for any information you can provide.

Mollyjo-

If you hear ANY more about that - let us know right away!

I really don't care if it expires-we can't go back w/in the next year anyway.

Ok, are there any locations subject to that 1998 opening restriction?

Will any UK Dis store ship to the US? Or is there a way to order from that site? It appears to take me to Amazon which lists books, software, etc.

OK, if I want to be daring enough to order them, where do I go? Does not seem I can do it from their website...

Snookhams- Thank you so much for the information. I am so excited about getting these passes for my family's trip to WDW in August. We calculated that these passes will save us over $300.00 and give us more options!!! Now I just need to find out how much shipping to the US will cost.

Thanks again and have a wonderful Disney vacation!!!
