WDW ticket conundrum .......

We have a 14 night stay upcoming for WDW Jan/Feb 2022 . Staying on site . Park tickets are our main issue .
Only looking to visit the parks , maybe 3-4 times throughout the 14 night stay . The current WDW ticketing system has an expiration date set up on tickets for just slightly longer than the multi-day ticket that is purchased . If we purchase a 4 day ticket, all days will have to be used within 7 days . Makes it difficult for longer stays . We can purchase a 10 day ticket to span our entire stay, but that seems to be a huge waste of $$$ , since we will only be visiting the parks for 3 , maybe 4 days .
Since a 4 day park ticket is not that much savings over 4 single day tickets ..........I guess just buying multiple single day tickets is our only option ? Does anyone know if the WDW system can correctly recognize multiple single day tickets for a single guest ? Can multiple single day tickets be linked to a single guest ? Looks like I would have to purchase individual day tickets for the day we plan to go , then link the single day tickets to the guests ? Rinse / Repeat for the individual days we plan to go ?
We can always , just purchase single day tickets as needed , while at WDW . Like , the night before we plan on going to a park the next day .........but then there is the whole reservation system and possibility of getting blocked out if we go that route .

This is all just getting to hard to deal with anymore . When tickets used to give you a 14 day window before they expired , it was a lot less stressful to plan !

two sets of either two day tixs or a 3 day & a two, or

a two or three day & a single tix or two

Since the daily pricing for tickets is fairly dynamic , prices vary wildly . In most scenerios I have priced , 2-3 day tickets are more expensive than single day tickets since we are only planning on visiting the parks Monday-Thursday, and avoiding Fri-Sun. Most Multi day tickets span across the weekends , so it raises the ticket prices , even if you dont plan to visit on those times.
It may be best to book 2 day tickets starting on a Monday . Then it will span through Thursday , giving us the option of going Mon-Thurs , and keeping the price the most cost effective . Also will give us the option to at least get a reservation "on the books" incase it gets sold out .

Are you able to switch to a package? Package tickets are valid for the full length of stay (1 resort reservation, check-in to check-out). If you are staying DVC on points, I don't know if member services may be able to help because obviously you can't book a package. Otherwise, I recommend planning your park days in a cluster to get them within a 7-day window for the 4-day ticket, do other things before/after during your 14-day vacation.

After doing some ticket math ......... if we are planning on going to the parks for only 4 days (only 2 of us) , the breakeven for 8 single day tickets , or 4 - 2 day tickets is about equal to 2 - 7 day tickets .
I guess the 7 day tickets would be our best option to keep it easy , and cost effective . If I go through UT , the 7 day park ticket is only about $10. more PP than trying to do multiple single or multiple 2 day tickets totaling only 4 days . At least we can get a bunch of reservations "on the book" , and come and go as we please throughout our stay .

I would not purchase multiple single day tickets.

Just book a package and only choose the number of days at the parks you want.
The tickets should be valid through length of stay.

Knowing already you don't want to do this but ... back in the day calling was the best way to accomplish this, however, you might be able to login to Disney.com and turn your hotel reservation into a package. I did this with a 'saved' item that was not an actual reservation.

Well, I guess there is no sense trying to make this more difficult than it already is . Basically , the price trying to get 2 of us into the parks for about 4 days during our 14 day trip , is almost the same no matter which way I configure it . Individual tickets or as a package , prices do not change for the park tickets .

All cost about the same for 2 of us -
8 - Single day tickets .........Very hard to configure all this, AND expect it to work properly on MDE (likely will not) . Have to deal with ticket expiration issues with single tickets .
4 - Two day tickets ......... Moderately hard to configure , and it MIGHT work properly on MDE . Still have to deal with ticket expiration issues .
or ......
2 - Seven day tickets ...... Easy to add to MDE and it WILL work . Plus it will give us 7 days throughout our whole stay to come and go as we please with out the headaches of any ticket expiration issues for our whole stay. Might give us more incentive to even go for a few hours / half day / whatever .

A. That's correct. But, saving money is not the specific consideration in your situation.

B. A stand alone 7-day ticket will NOT give you an option to use it "throughout your whole stay."
THAT is the issue that we are trying to address.
A 7-day stand alone ticket, once first used, will only be good for the following 9 days.
(10 consecutive days, total.)
Then, whatever is left will expire.

THIS is why we suggest that you convert your room-only to a "package" that INCLUDES park tickets.
If you do that, you WILL be able to use your 7-day ticket on ANY 7 days of your trip.
(Any unused package tickets do not expire until the end of your check-out date.)

If you don't START USING your 7 day tickets UNTIL at least "day 5" of your trip, then a stand-alone 7-day ticket will work until the end of your trip.

AND, if you really ONLY want to go into the parks for 4 days, if you are able to convert your stay to a "package with tickets" you CAN just buy a 4-day ticket and it will be valid for use on any 4 days throughout your stay.

So again,
CALL 'em.

Oh, sorry just a bit of of confusion on my part ..........
Correct , I shouldn't have said our "whole stay", sorry . I should have said "during our stay" that we wanted to go to the parks .
We dont actually need the whole 14 days to be able to go to the parks . We wont be going to the parks the first or last weekends of our trip . Essentially we just need to be able to space a few park days during the middle of the week for a 2 week consecutive stay . If we start a 7 day ticket on a Tuesday or Wednesday , it should last till the following Wednesday or Thursday .

So yes, we are planning on using the 7 day tickets beginning on day 3 or 4 . Then we will be finishing our park time a few days before we leave .

I will call tomorrow to see if they can turn this into a package so whatever tickets we choose will span the "length of stay" Still may go with a 7 day ticket as its very close to price of the 4 day .

Just nervous they may somehow cancel our (very hard to get) 14 day reservation at the Fort in the process .

A. Sounds good. (But, read B below.)
B. Then also consider this: You can, for very little extra money, buy an 8-day, 9-day, or even 10-day ticket.
(Just check the prices.) You could then go to the parks for just part of any of those "extra days" and just dine or ride a favorite attraction or two. (In addition to being able to use your tickets earlier in the trip and/or for more days.)
And, since you’ve booked at a Deluxe resort, you have access to the Evening “late hours.”
All of this could offer a major increase in flexibility and optional choices at a very small price difference.
(Hey, you're already staying just minutes away from some great theme park opportunities... why not use the advantages that offers?)
C. GUESTS can't make changes to the "rules," but Disney CMs can make any adjustment they need to for "guest accommodation" if they so choose. Just be sure to not make "demands" but "ask nicely" to see if
they can "accommodate" you, this time.
