WDW ticket advice requested

All of us are FL residents

Our 17 year old begins college at UCF in Orlando so he will get a Silver Annual Pass, does this give us free parking or do they require him to be over 18 or older?

15, 10 and 9 year old so 4 children total.

I have already ruled out weekday select since we need to travel on a weekend Sept 16, 17, 18 and 19 one park per day.

Should I get 4 day FL resident passes or Silver annual passes?

we will probably visit again next september and I would normally get weekday select but weekend blackouts cancel that out.

Anyone gets free parking with any AP. Age isn't a factor.

Whether you should get Silver or the 4-day depends on how much you'll come.

Is this a good strategy to leave the door open for future visits since we will want to come again to visit our son at college.

Pay for 4 day FL resident tickets to use on weekend, then upgrade them to weekday select after weekend is up. $1300 for 4 day, $1655 for weekday select annual. only loss will be parking for those 3 days or $60. The last day we will be reimbursed for parking after upgrade.

Looks like $416 more after parking if math is correct to get AP for 6 people

Yes because it allows you to enter parks all weekend and then you upgrade to the Select AP before you leave the park on your last day.
