WDW Ticket advice needed

We are off to WDW in October and are staying off site for 2 weeks. We are planning to spend up to 10 days in Disney and I have a few ticket conundrums:

1. Do we go for 10 day MYW hopper tickets for around $290 (£165 ish) or do we go for the Ultimate 4 day ticket for around £180. The water park option isn't important as we have plenty of water park days left on some old park hopper plus tickets.

2. If we do go for the MYW tickets are we better off upgrading one of the tickets to an annual pass (extra $200) to take advantage of free parking and reduced price mini golf?

3. Finally we are taking the grandparents who only want to spend a couple of days in Disney, what are their best options as single and 2 day passes are so expensive? We do have a few days left on 2 old park hopper plus tickets but if they held our finger scan data I'm not sure if they would be able to use them. Also there are 3 of them and only 2 tickets...

Thanks

Get the 14 day ultimate! It gives you freedom to decide exactly what you want to do each day.

Also at the moment Disney UK site has it on offer.

Depending on how old the tickets are you might be able to blag the machine. Sometime because they are old CMs just accept the new finger scans. Luck of the draw really

I agree. Although you might only think you want 10 days in the parks, the 14 day ticket gives you freedom to do what you want. Sometimes we'll do something non Disney during the day and then go to one of the parks in the evening for an hour or so just to watch the fireworks. At least you're covered for every day of your trip this way.

I agree with NIck for your options. Not sure about the grandparents though, if they only want to do a couple of days, would you not be better just buying at the gate - not cheap I know. Or would it be better to get them a 7 day ticket, incase they really like it and want to do more days or nights for the fireworks?

Having similar conundrum myself and the 14 day Ultimate at £169 seems a good deal. I have been told by my travel agent (who I trust) that I should hold on until after Xmas when there will be some good deals.

Any thoughts?

Personally find the hopper/non expiry facility of the Magic Your Way tickets ideal for us.
They last a few holidays as we do not visit WDW excessively.

In our circumstances having tickets that never expire is the best option, the ultimate ticket just doesn't work for us.

Johnny...the only reason that I think the ultimate is okay for us is because we have no plans to go back to Florida hence I think that rules out the tickets with no expiry. Do you think I am likely to get a better deal than £169.

By the way , good win today:banana:

Just looked at Disney Uk . . . that is a good deal! Do they send proper tickets out? Have never used them before!

I assume so but not really looked into it other than comparing the price

A general rule, that always works for me is if you see a decent price on tickets, car hire...anything, go for it.
No-one can accuratley predict future ticket prices.

If you see a bargain, grab it.

Enjoyed the win - thanks. ;)

Johnny..have borrowed your avatar if you dont mind. Have to show your colours !!
