WDW t-Shirts falling apart in the wash?

OK. I bought a WDW T-Shirt on my "Sisters" trip in August. I brought it home, washed it, and the thread from the hem came out. Luckily I was able to take it back and exchange it for a new T-Shirt on our family trip later in August.
In October I bought a great WDW T-Shirt. I love this shirt. I washed it 2 or 3 times and all the thread under one armpit came out. I can't really sew, but I may give it a shot.

Anyone else have their WDW T-Shirts fall apart?

Sorry . The same thing used to happen to ALL of the T-Shirts which I bought in Tiajuana ........

dandave, here is the WDW merchandise number. Give them a call, explain the situation and I am sure they will take care of an exchange. Any Disney clothing we have for any of us has always proven to be of very good quality. They do stand behind their product and good name.

I guess we have been kucky because we havent had any problems with shirts purchased at wdw, and we have bought alot of them over the years!!

I have also bought a lot of Disney tshirts over the years, and did have this happen, but only once. I bought some iron on hem tape, and that did the trick.

Bob, I've never had this problem before, either. We did get a new washer after we moved this summer, so I have to wonder if it has something to do with the washer. It hasn't happened to any of our other clothes, though. Strange...

Lucy, That iron on tape would probably work if I owned an iron. I can't iron or sew, however.

I've had the same problem with most of the WDW resort polo's recently. I'll just stop buying them. Too expensive to have fall apart after 5 or 6 washings.

I bought my dd a princess sweater at MGM, not cheap either, but by the middle of winter, you could see through several spots on it. The threads seems to have just dissappeared. She had gotten some decent use out of it, so I just tossed it, but I was a little disappointed in it.
