WDW reunion.....1974 to 2012......

i am soooooooooooooo excited, i just have to share the news!!!

my very first visit to WDW was way back in May 1974.

It was the end of my freshman year in university and my very best friend from university and I drove down from Baltimore.
After stopping at the Naval base in Pensacola to pick up my friend's sister, we headed down to Orlando, where the 3 of us camped for a week in Fort Wilderness (in a little pup tent).
We had a blast. In the Magic Kingdom (that's all there was back then), in FW. Everything. Just the best time ever!!

And now, 38 years later, she's flying down to join me for my 2 days at WDW (2.5 days to be exact)!!
Isn't that the coolest thing EVER!! (ok, maybe not the coolest thing EVER, but still pretty darn cool)

And this will be the first time we see each other since we graduated 35 years ago (35 years???? i can't possibly be that old)...

i am sooooooooooo excited!!!

no we're not camping, but i bet it would be really fun!!
although FW was a lot smaller back then...
i remember it so clearly....walking from the tent to the bathroom/shower building hidden in the woods behind the campsite...
seeing my very first armadillo walking through FW .. taking the little boat to MK....
i remember it all as if it were yesterday...
such a fun trip!!

we'll be at AoA this time....i'm sure it will be fun there too....
