WDW restaurants questions

We opted NOT to use the disney dining plan. We are not making any reservations either.

But we shouldn't have any trouble at the quick service type places, right?

Also, do the restaurants in the parks have the menus out front to read? I know they do at Disneyland but I wasn't sure about the WDW parks.

You will be able to get into counter service locations without reservations. And you might be able to get into some table service, but not many.

I don't think the counter service locations have the menus outside, but the table service do.

If I were you I wouldn't discredit calling 407-WDW-DINE when you are down at Disney to see what's open for TS while you're there. We've had some great luck getting in at the last minute. It's not the best strategy if you have a "must do", but if you just want to eat somewhere nice it usually works really well.

Most of the restaurants do have the menus outside. You can get any counter service without ADRs. We walked up to House of Blues last weekend and got right in. There was a 25 minute wait at RFC. Don't give up. Just enjoy your trip no matter!! There will be food to eat even if it's not the "best" restaurant in the world. Another hint, Try places that are off the beaten path. Cape May Cafe is a great character breakfast.

thanks for the replies!!

i'm not too concerned about where we eat. we'll probably eat counter service most of the time and i'm fine with that. to me...eating at the parks is just a necesity (sp?) that take away from my time walking around the parks.

i'm a picky eater though so i'm hoping to see the food options before i go into places.
