WDW Rain Ponchos

Anyone know if you can buy these online anywhere?

Not sure about online, but I saw some childrens Mickey Mouse rain ponchos the other day at our Tuesday Morning store. They looked alot like the ones they sell in the park, only they were $2.99. They were folded in a plastic wrapper and they were hanging next to the infant items at our store. Don't know if you have a store near you, but you might check them out.

I don't know about on line but we just got back a week ago and we had gone into Kissimmee(sp) to the Wal-mart and they had the yellow Disney ones with Mickey on the back for $2.99. If your driving maybe you could stop on your way in.

Believe it or not, I actually saved mine from my last trip. They're rolled up and ready to go with me on Friday.

By the way, Hollyjoy, your children are stunning! I'm still trying to figure out how to get my kids' picture up; I'm not very technically savvy....

I've also saved mine from our 1997 trip. I just realized a few weeks ago that DS's is a child's size, and would probably be too small for him now. I wanted another yellow one for him (the parks now sell clear ones) and was able to find one on Ebay.

I don't know if they are available online, but Sam's sells a six pack of rain ponchos. They have Mickey on them and say Florida underneath instead of WDW.

I got a yellow child one on ebay for my ds6 and a blue Treasure Planet one for my DS8 also on Ebay. My DH and I have ours from 1999 when we bought them at AK, we haven't seen them there the last few trips (cream color wth safari Mikcey on the back-say Animal Kingdom).
We love to take them so we can spot each other in the sea of yellow!
I have found them on ebay under Disney rain, Disney poncho, and even Disney jacket.

I actually also started a thread asking this same question & about fast pass holders. Here is what I came up with. You can do one of 2 things...


Call the Character Warehouse 407-354-3255 they are $6 for adult and not sure for a child

or


Call Disney Merchandising 407-363-6200 they are $5.48 for an adult and the item # is 10080434

I think I'm going to do this as well because you know when you hit that first rainstorm you can't find them anywhere !

I just called to find out about ordering mine. Both places charge $8.95 shipping and you don't have to pay FL sales tax since you are in MD like me. The total for 2 adult ponchos at Character Warehouse was going to be $20.85 !! A WONDERFUL woman named Jane talked to me and convinced me to wait until we get there. She said that it is silly to pay that much in advance when Disney just overstocked themselves with ponchos because of all the rain. She said they have a HUGE overabundance of them. She was so kind and helpful!! I mean, she gave up a sale to save me money. Now that is customer service! And you better believe that when I get down there I am going right over to Character Warehouse and asking for her. Maybe I'll even take her a little special Maryland gift

i have an old yellow one that might be too small this trip.

It seems like you really want Disney ones. But, call me a cynic. . .I was at dollar tree and bought packs of 2 (not Disney) for, yes, a dollar.

I thought that was worth it, and I bought extra, too, in case we don't want to fold them all up again wet.

it's funny - our first trip to disney in 2001 we took some dollar store rain ponchos but they didn't work very well. while we were on the wl boat we got absolutely drenched and wound up throwing the ponchos out in frustration. our last rip in 2003, the skies were threatening and the forcast called for rain. so we bought yellow disney ponchos for everyone and carted them everywhere - and of course it never rained, so they are still all just packed away for the next trip. apparently they had some kind of magic that kept the skies rain-free.

that is just the way....it happens to us too...we will lug those ponchos with us and it doesn't rain and the trip we don't take them guess what...last year all 8 of us had to buy them....ugh...they are worth having though.

Thanks! I'm thinking about looking for them the first evening we are there. We won't be going to any of the parks the first day we arrive, so maybe I'll hit the shops and see if I can find them then!

Yeah, I figure if we have them, it won't rain. But, if we don't, I can just see us running around in the rain looking for some! LOL
