I've never been to WDW but been to Disneyland a zillion times. I was thinking about taking Dear SO to WDW for our anniversary/ her birthday (couple days apart).

What resort would you recommend? What Restaurants would you recommend? How many days would you recommend staying, or should we just stay at home and go there and eat and stuff (we'll be in our new house about an hour away by then).

Dear SO HATED disneyland, she thought it was boring. She was totally cranky though and she did have a visit from Aunt Flo while there so they may have attributed to the hatred. I don't want to take her there and then have her hate the trip.

Do you suggest the dining plan?

Are the parks horrible at the end of August?

you asked so many questions it has just gotten me confused

School goes back in early August here, so that does lower the crowds somewhat.

We live in Tampa, we sometimes go to WDW for the day, sometimes stay a few days.

There are a lot of beautiful resorts there, it is nice to stay sometimes even if you don't go to a park.

First time DH ever went, about 4 years ago, I took him for a weekend at Port Orleans. We went to DTD, but no parks. He has been hooked ever since.
