WDW pulls free dining offer for 2025

What do they say about the word "assume"??? And just because it doesn't contain a hyperlink (which I believe it did, it may be inactive now since the offer is gone), doesn't mean there isn't additional information. It actually told readers to go to the offer page to get more details. If I were interested in the offer, I would read and follow directions! I really don't think people are disgusted by this and if Disney were going to lose business, they would not have pulled it. They are a lot smarter about this stuff than we are, they have a very well paid and experienced yield management team who knows what to offer and when, as well as knowing when to pull it to maximize profit. And as a stockholder, I appreciate that. It's good business, not bad.
None of the offers had a hyperlink even the other three that were included. Maybe Disney should have included the appropriate language so no one assumed. Exactly, they removed it because they thought they can squeeze a few extra bucks by pulling and bait and switch. I’m sure the gains would trickle down to your meager Disney holding percentage, just like it will trickle down to my meager holding percentages. This is all while the stock is pretty much right where it was ten years ago despite increasing the amount of nickel and dining guests.

How do you know it's meager? Again, don't "assume" - you were wrong before! 🤔🤣

Rooms are available but not under that "sale." There are other offers still available. WDW offers change throughout the year, several times; it's unusual that any given promotion is available for booking more than a few weeks. Though I agree the 2025 free dining offer sold out more quickly than usual.

It probably comes down to is the Blog an advertisement? or a "news" item? I've always been of the impression that such things don't give full information. The Blog post is still out there and it does include a link to the WDW website along with the notation I shared above about "more details."
All they had to do was include some simple words like they did when reopening the annual passes. All three of the other offers are still being offered from the same post. They just needed to say that supplies are limited or anything like that or give a date it will close. Instead it gave nothing like that

In the many, many years WDW has offered free dining, it has never been available to be booked throughout the whole year. It has absolutely always had limited timeframes for booking. Yes, they may have previously announced the end date for booking & they didn’t this time. But there has never been a time you had the whole year to book. In fact, I don’t remember any discount offer that has ever been available for the whole year. That was a big misassumption on your part. Every single promotion always says “rooms at this price are limited.” The whole resort inventory is never available in any promotion.
And they normally give the precise time frames it is available as your stated. This isn’t for resort rooms. It is for a dinning package it’s different and something annual pass holders won’t use

Maybe Disney should have included the appropriate language so no one assumed.

Have you looked at the Important Details section of any special offer?? Every one says the number of rooms is limited. They don’t announce how many rooms are available. When their inventory is gone, the offer is over. The disclaimer is listed on every offer.

I have used free dining over the years. The free dining is a discount offer. Just like a room discount is a discount offer. It has absolutely NEVER been available to book for the whole year. It has always had limited availability as far as resorts & room types. It has never been available for every room at WDW. If you have proof otherwise, maybe post that.

Again this was not for a room, but for a free dining plan that most rooms will not take advantage of. I viewed it similar to how the free water park on first day is used. It’s something you can get if a room is available. If they randomly ended the free water park perk on first day people would be pissed!

Free Dining Plan Deal Returns: Back by popular demand, you can get a free dining plan with the purchase of a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day (or longer) package that includes a room at select Disney Resort hotels and a ticket with a Park Hopper option. This offer is for visits on select dates from June 29 through December 22, 2025. ”

There were four offers posted in that area. The other three offers are still available. But there is the proof. Not a single line in that entire area states “limited supplies” or anything like that. Something like that would have alerted me

The information on the “limited supplies” is under “Important Details” as I posted above. And FYI, the Disney Parks Blog never has full information on anything. Your post proves nothing.

They had all the info here: https://disneyparksblog.com/wdw/dis...-your-vacation-with-free-dining-plan-in-2025/

They include many details in their posts, except this one.
Disney should have you on payroll with how much you defend their sloppiness, griminess, and trickary.

You can not book from the park blog. It is NOT the official WDW website. Every booking page has the information. It’s not Disney’s fault if you don’t read the full information. And since you find Disney so offensive, maybe that’s not the place to spend your money. Good luck to you.

Since we are fixating on the wording, it clearly says here that you "can", not "you're guaranteed" to get something. All it really says is "it's possible for you to get free dining on select dates (not all dates) during a certain period if you buy a certain product".

Disney park blogs is an official Disney website and yes I and many others get their information from there. Not everyone follows every single factoid of Disney and make it our entire life. We read that and then discuss with family and decide what to do. If nothing alerts us that it’s limited or there’s a deadline we have no reason to think there is one.

well it’s not possible on ANY dates right now, so you can’t get it at all now. So it’s not possible now despite the clear language.

If you have certain dates in mind that aren’t flexible I would make a room only reservation. I would then channel some of that anger you have into monitoring the situation. There may be new offers that come up between now and then. Sometimes a decent room discount can cover your cost of dining. I fail to see how your missing out on an offer is Disney’s fault. Many many trips and I’ve never failed to see the above referenced language for special offers.

Regardless of the promotion(s) going forward, this is the way of the future with discounts and Disney. They will pull the sales at any time they see fit, (when they see that they have sold enough rooms with discounts, promos ect) This is a game changer for the future. Book ASAP once the deals are released and hang onto them until your sure about your plans.

This is just a change of rules in Disney's game now. Its just a different way they will be doing business now verses the way they used to do.

It absolutely is for a room and your second post here proved it. You can not get the "Free" dining unless you book a room at full price for minimum nights plus tickets. It is a discounted package deal that starts with the hotel, and rooms they have designated for the special package.

I started doing these packages in 2006 and there have always been a limited number of rooms at each resort available for this. EVERYTHING that needs booking at Disney is limited. It is not an any room, any resort, never has been. It's always been limited. And while it doesn't matter for sake of this conversation, other than FYI, each resorts GM decides how many rooms in each category they will release for special package booking to help reach desired occupancy. They can add or remove rooms as needed. Once those rooms they offered are gone there is no availability for the offer. Perhaps in this instance they had such a high booking of the offer resort wide they concluded it was "full" enough. Just like selling tickets to the park parties, it is sold out when they say so.

Disney has no obligation to notify every potential customer that the offer is gone any more than any other company or event or store that runs out of their "special". NONE!!! If you wanted it, you should have booked it or risk it not being available. Your opinion of how you want Disney to operate is irrelevant. Disney operation is quite common and has been going on for decades. It really sounds like you might want to look at somewhere else to vacation since from your posts Disney keeps upsetting you. :confused3
