WDW property hotel (not Disney), meal plan?

Hi, I'm a newbie and wondering if anyone can answer this question:

If I stay at a hotel that is on Disney property but not owned by Disney, am i able to purchase the Disney meal plan? I'm thinking about booking at the Regal Sun Resort and unsure if I can still buy the dining card.

We don't book through SOG anymore because we can't do the DDP. So, no it seems you have to be at a Disney resort.

No, you can only get the Dining Plan (any one of the 5 different levels now) by booking a Disney owned resort. The hotels on the Hotel Plaza (like the Regal Sun), or the Dolphin & Swan are on Disney property, but are not Disney owned resorts, so you cannot get the Dining Plan.
