We are staying on property and have no car but need a prescription filled. Are there any on-site pharmacies or a pharmacy that will deliver?

Turner Drug will deliver to area hotels for a small fee. If you've forgotten a prescription or other standard pharmacy item, call them at (407) 828-8125 to arrange delivery. According to MouseSavers.com reader Joseph W, "your readers should know that they DO NOT accept insurance, and they mark-up their drug prices MUCH MORE than usual for prescription drugs (including generics). Insurance will NOT reimburse you in full for their higher prices." You'll have to consider whether the potentially higher prices are offset by the convenience.

Just thought of something that might be cheaper. You might to get a taxi to a Walgreens or CVS cheaper and they WILL take insurance. I guess it depends which resort you are staying at as to which pharmacy is closer. Ask guest relations if they can assist in finding a close pharmacy or if they have other suggestions. We'd be suprised at what info you can get just for asking. Good Luck.

I'd 2nd the idea of getting a taxi to a nearby pharmacy - Walgreens, Eckerd's & CVS are in the area - plus Wal-Mart, K-Mart, probably Target would have pharmacies too. Of course, you could call the pharmacy that delivers and see how much it would be - maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

FYI many Publix supermarkets have pharmacy departments and they are very reasonably priced. I fill almost all our prescriptions there.
