Just wondering what everyone's pet peeves were at WDW? Decided to start a new thread, the other one is kind of out of hand.

Some of mine include:

1. Parents with six autograph books for the character to sign for kids that don't even want to get near the character or are too young to even know if they want autographs. Sometimes the character greetings can get really ridiculous, I guess that's why I pay the big bucks to go to character meals.

2. Another one is when obnoxious teenagers are waiting in line, acting bad and cursing. Really doesn't set a good example for my 7 year old daughter.

Mine is people who think they are entitled to everything. You know the ones who are pushy and rude and who say things like "well I paid X amount of dollars to be here!". Like I didn't spend any money to be here lol

Also the more I go to crowded places, the more I wish people had brake lights and turn signals attached to their person lol

Some people using strollers with their kids can be very pushy. I know it's hard to travel with small children, but when the parks are crowded, I wish more would understand that I can't clear the way of them right away all of the time.

People who walk between the interpreters and the audience when there are other ways to leave a show. And if that is the only way to go, please do it as quickly as possible as to be the least distraction to those needing the interpreters. They are not there just to be pretty.

Pooh Girl 71, love the brakes idea! People that step in front of or stop in front of the stroller then look look bewildered they got hit.

I get tired of the ..."No drinking, eating, flash photo, spontaneous fun" message before every attraction. I understand the need, but whew!!

O.K., so this happened today at "another theme park" in Orlando but could happen at Disney.

People who send their backpacks down the slide at the playground. There could be a little one at the bottom of the slide (like mine) that could get hurt...and they were 2 giant backpacks.

speaking of backpacks, is it just me, or does anyone else get WHACKED with the backpack people in line (when they turn around), or how about the ones who walk and suddenly stop and you smash into their backpack and YOU get the dirty look! It's even worse when you're in a dark area like ToT library or Haunted Mansion and you can't even see the backpack and try to avoid it!

OMG I was in the Disney outlet store at Belz a few months ago. This lady has this HUGE backpack and kept bumping me with it. I finally ask her if she will kindly stop hitting me with it. She rolled her eyes and told me to get over it! Idiot.

I see we started a new thread on this subject.. I am sure we can keep on topic and be nice to each other... please.

What are they carrying that causes some people to have backpacks the size of texas. I had everything my daughter and I needed in a knapsack type thing a little larger than a purse. I swear some people are packing as if they are about to scale mt everest!

I feel like I carry a small pharmacy in my small fanny pouch. How I manage to fit all these items in it I will never know.......contact solution, extra lenses, sunglasses, chapstick, suntan lotion, ID, park passes, tylenol, penny press book, 2 rolls of quarters and a roll of pennies, park map, pen and cell phone. I would like to know exactly what else these people carry that require a huge backpack. Geez, my fanny pack weighs about 10 pounds and even I get tired of lugging it around my waist. These people with the backpacks must have terrible pain in their backs at night.

Again, since my post got swallowed in that bathroom discussion!!!!

My biggest Pet Peeve actually is waiting on time to go by. Waiting on my vacation is like a child waiting on Christmas.

Can August come already!!!!:Pinkbounc

My biggest problem is usually with people who act like the rules (or even just plain old common courtesy) apply to anyone and everyone--EXCEPT THEM!!!

When I see something like that I am usually tempted to say something like, "Oh look, free backpacks!!!

Let's see. Change of clothes. repair equipment for my wheelchair, BGmeter, strips, lancet, insulin and syringes, emergency sugar supply, ponchos for me and the power wheelchair, sweatshirt in case I get chilly, sunscreen, medications and painkillers, batteries for my hearing aids and a case in case the need to be removed, Disney pins for trading, pad and paper for people who don't understand my speech, change, my canes, cord for the wheelchair charger. umbrella. Of course my id, pass and credit card are on my lanyard. Heavy? I have no idea because it is attached to the back of the wheelchair. Fortunately it doesn't extend past the base of the wheelchair so no chance of hitting someone with it unless I hit them with the chair as well.
Btw when my girls were with me all the time they used to dump everything they didn't want to carry into the backpack as well.

XTine..thanks for starting my original thread over again. It brought me a great deal of joy and helped to educate me about others likes and dislikes that intend on using when our family makes further WDW trips.

I will admit that I am extremely dissappointed that it took a DIS Moderator to shut down the old thread to gain closure to a problem that I had requested 3 times to allow the issue to die. I hope that the same problem does not close this thread down.

I will not be posting any further pet peeves...I am going to move on to another thread...

Backup beepers might be a nice addition! LOL

Pet peeves of mine are.....people who are in such a rush to DO everything that they don't actually SEE everything. They don't seem like they enjoy themselves very much, and that's such a shame.

I've read through all of both threads on this subject and all of my pet peeves have been covered.

What I have learned though is a little more tolerance and understanding for situations different then those I am used to. Hearing someone explain why they do a certain thing makes it easier to understand when you experience the behaviour.

I have a ds (7) who looks perfectly normal (and is quite handsome I might add) but has a number of disabilities. Sometimes we are guilty of the things mentioned but never with ill intentions...we just do our best to get thru the day.

So thanks I've learned a lot by this topic, I will do my best to be tolerant of others...I will be more aware of how my actions may impact others and I will continue to do the things necessary to make my sons vacation as fun and safe as possible.

I hope others get the same out of this thread as we have been subject to many rude comments, dirty looks and misinformed judgements.

This has truly been a great topic, Thank You:earsboy:

I love kids, have three of my own and six and a half grandkids now...but..my pet peeve is that some adults think if you are there WITHOUT KIDS that they have more rights ....My all time favorite is the parents who feel if you are at a character dinner without kids then the characters should not bother to talk to you at all. We have twice had parents tell kids to come to our table and bring the characters over there when we were trying to get photos of ourselves with them...grrrr
