I applied for a Disney Visa card a few weeks back.. each day I would eagerly wait for the mail but it just didn't arrive. :sad2: The balance of my MYW package is/was due on the 22 of May. So last night I call in my payment using my MAC card. ( I didn't want to chance getting busy the next few days and forgetting to call it in!:scared1: :scared1: )

Well, of course TODAY the Visa card arrives. My dis friend said I should call Disney and ask them to credit my Mac card back and charge it on the Disney Visa. Not only will I get the $25 bonus gift card for making my first purchase, I'll also earn 20 reward dollars to use on the trip. Has anyone ever tried this? Opinions? Just figured I would get some feedback here before I call them and make a fool of myself! :confused3

I would do it! We got our WDW Visa in January and have been using it for just about EVERYTHING:worship: then paying it off on each statement. We've built up quit a bit in $$$ we're taking in the form of a rewards card. We also paid off our trip early just so we could use the Visa and still get the rewards points. They do add up and it's money we would have spent anyway. So, go for it! Call them and change cards. $20 is $20!

Thanks! as a follow up, I called Disney this morning and they could not have been more helpful! They credited the whole cost of my trip back onto my original MAC card and then charged it all out on my Disney Visa!  Now I just have to hope it all comes out correctly when it hits my account!

I haven't used my Disney VISA for trip planning yet, but don't you also get to have no interest for 6 months on your trip? You might check how that works.

It's showed up on our card when they charged the deposit. There's a special place on the statement called "Qualifying Promotional Financing" that the charge shows up on. You are NOT charged interest for 6 months; the interest rate shows up at 0%. It is figured in the total balance but you don't pay interest. Cindy:surfweb:
