:thumbsup2 Couldn't figure out the best place to post this, so I'll start here and hopefully someone can help.

Has anyone purchased this set of DVD's from "20dvdset(dot)com" and actually received them or any correspondence? I guess it's the same person that sold them on Ebay as disneydomain and had excellent feedback.

I ordered a set on Nov. 1st from the new website, then the day after I ordered, the website disappeared. I sent several emails and even tried to call the phone number listed, but was told it was a wrong number even though the person who answered the phone has the same name as the owner of the website...hmmm.

On Dec. 5th, I received an email that my card was charged and the order was shipped. It's now 2 weeks later and still no product or response. I'm not sure if there was a personal tragedy that is preventing this person from following through, so I don't want to give this person a bad review until I get answers.

The purpose of this post is 1) To get information from anyone else who may have had the same experience 2) Warn others to stay clear until things are sorted out.

Thank you.

I don't have any experience with that company, but I would notify your credit card company and tell them that you are disputing those charges.

Good luck.

I got a 20 DVD set. I'm not sure if it's the same seller. Mine also took several weeks to come. I was really starting to get worried as it was a small chunk of change. They finally arrived though. If you receive them post back what you think of them. If they are the same ones I have some of them are pretty good. Others are questionable. For instance, you would think if they were recording these to sell they could try to sit in a better spot for shows. Like maybe not behind a pole at Indiana Jones. Not only the pole is in the way but he sat in the upper section so people endlessly walking in front of the camera is so annoying we couldn't even watch that one.

Well, doesn't it figure after posting this "close to the end of my rope" post, the DVD's were in my mailbox when I got home from work. I'm not sure what the issue was, just hope it wasn't a personal tragedy.

I did get an opportunity to view a few of them and they look to be worth every bit of the wait! Much better than a previous set of 20 DVD's I ordered from someone else (which sound like the same ones as Kay has). There aren't poles in the way, jerky camera motions, or footage of people standing in line.

I'll try to do a more thorough review once I get a chance to view them all (tonight).

Thank you to those that replied....

Thanks for the update. Glad you got them and glad they seem to be better. Let me know how they are after you've watched more of them. I may get them if they are better than mine.
I think you probably had to make a post about them to make them "magically" appear in your mail box. :goodvibes I'm sure they wouldn't have been there if you hadn't said something. :rotfl:
That's how it always happens. I had something like that happen this evening. I was trying to register my checking account on my DDs credit card account to make her payment. I couldn't get it to work at all. I was at my wits end. I had checked the numbers, double checked and triple checked. I finally called the bank. It took forever to get through all the prompts to get to a real person. Then, just as the nice young man came on the line and asked if he could help me I saw that I had the routing number where the account number should be and the account number where the routing number should be. That was embarrassing but it worked like a charm as soon as I turned the numbers around.
Enjoy your DVDs. :)

I ordered the set and there was a delay. When they did contact me they said there was a notification problem with Google Payments and it was cleared up.
The footage & Sound is incredible.

Allen68, glad you got them and are enjoying them.

Someone did a pretty good review of the two "major" sets of amateur WDW park DVD's on this forum already, but I'll add my .02 anyway.

Pro's:

-All of the DVD's worked in ALL of my DVD players flawlessly; regardless of brand (I own a Panasonic, RCA, Toshiba, Magnavox, and a portable Colby)

-No footage of people standing in line, no fast or jerky pans that would cause severe nausea while watching, no poles or people passing in the front of the action.

-Edited to include several angles...especially effective on the "Wishes" fireworks display...VERY well done

-Actual soundtrack dubbed in when possible, instead of just the audio recorded by camcorder. This was done very well on the Epcot fireworks DVD (actually done in Dolby Digital and synched just about perfectly to the fireworks)

-Rides that are mostly dark like Haunted Mansion and would ordinarily look horrible on video, look amazing on these DVD's (plus they added a little twist). They snapped full color pictures of the main features in the Haunted Mansion and edited them in the video as the ride passed by...again, very well done. They also used night vision on the dark rides which is in black and white which worked well, as opposed to the "green fog" look that some night vision has.

-When we went to WDW in October, we were disappointed to see some of the classic attractions changed like figment, The Land, etc. So it was nice to see that they included "Extinct" attractions in the DVD set. They had the old Figment, Horizons Building, Capt. EO (though not a MJ Fan...it was a good movie in 3-D), etc.

-Menu's had background music and picture of the rides (nice touch)

-Before the video of the actual attraction starts, they included a nice introduction with attraction music, video, pictures, and some commentary

-The price...VERY reasonable

Con's

-They're amateur and not Disney produced...so keep that in mind

-Communication with seller

Hope this helps...
