My daughter is gathering Pandora-like beads for a bracelet--only much less expensive than the real sterling silver ones. She has found some cute beads at Michael's that will fit the bracelet, but I am wondering if any of the WDW shops carry Disney beads that would would be in her budget, maybe in the $5-$10 range?

I remember when we were there a few years ago they had an area in a lot of the gift shops where kids could pick out individual beads, so I'm hoping they might now have the Pandora-style beads in those bins.

Yes, on the jewelry stands that spin around with the earrings, there are Mickey head beads that fit (the head is 3 solid circles- no actual face on it). They are not in a bin, but attached to cards on the spinning rack. I just bought a silver one last week at World of Disney for $3.95 and put in right on the center of my Pandora baracelet. They also had silver with colors (i.e. white, red, etc), and a set of beads that were all Christmas colors for $18.99. I think there were 5 beads in the set.

Do they sell these anywhere else other than at the parks???

Oh thank you Michelle! She will be thrilled!

They are a little on the big/heavy side compared to the designer brand Disney ones. She can probably only put a few on until it gets the bracelet heavy- but it does stand out that you are wearing a Mickey head!

Be careful of the charms which are made in China. More and more are found to have unsafe levels of lead in them, including those sold by Disney. Sterling, though a bit more expensive, is a safe material and will hold its look indefinitely. Biagi is one brand of sterling charm which fits Pandora bracelets and is less expensive.

I bought some Mickey ones last summer and they looked good for about 6 months! Still cute but def. tarnished. My latest find was at TJ Maxx! 2 Sterling beads (heart shaped), and 3 glass beads with sterling inserts ( pink and red) on a leather band for $19.99. Ditched the band and added the beads to my bracelet to fill out my Pandora charms.

Yes they sell them at World of Disney in DTD & some of the resort gift shops (for sure BC Marketplace & YC shop too). There are a lot of different onces, and they range in price from $3.95- $24.95 for the sets.

I bought a set of the Christmas ones while I was down there in mid-December last year - it was a set of 5 for about $10 or so. I can't remember the price but they weren't real silver.

As an FYI they are cute but some of the paint/decoration, etc. on the beads literally had rubbed off by the end of the month. They are cute but may not last very long until they look bad unfortunately.

Here are a few from the Christmas set. I get a few new ones each trip & they make a great conversation piece when people are looking at my charms. I have more cheap Disney ones on my Pandora bracelet than good ones!

They do sell the cheap bracelets with the charms as well, I think they are $19.99, sold with the beads.

I bought 3 beads at the WOD store in DTD. They were higher than those that we have seen here. They are the Chamilia brand, Pandora's competition, i think mine were like 35-60 each. But they are .995 Silver.

:)
:thumbsup2

The set that TaraPa posted is similar but not exactly the one I bought. It didn't show the bead that all the finish rubbed off (in my set) - actually the red mickey head looks fine. For the price it may be worth it.

I have a Chamilia bracelet and they sell the silver charms for it at DtD and at some of the parks and those charms are fantastic and beautiful but as expensive as the Pandora type. They sell an "Its a Small World" set now that has different countries featured as well as numerous other Disney beads.
