Quick Question - Typically how soon from the time a trip is completely paid off should I expect my package in the mail?

Our trip is in 12 days has been paid in full (received the receipt mailer) but I have not received the package. I seem to recall getting it much earlier last year.

Should I be worried? Should I just call?

Thoughts?

I think you're right. Last year if I remember correctly we got our ME package about 31 days before & our hotel package 21 days before. We don't go until September so can't help you out on this year.

Last Aug, I had to ask my pkg to be mailed to my WDW resort, as we were leaving 2 weeks before WDW arrival to do other things in Florida.
I wish they would mail them out earlier as you have to be PIF 45 days before arrival. WE should be able to get them 30 days before trip IMHO!!!:goodvibes

I'm glad you asked this as I was just wondering the same thing about our Aug 20 trip. I was going to call them tonight, but since tomorrow is 1 month count down, I'll give it another week before I call and harrass them.

Well I checked the mail again yesterday and nothing.

I will call this evening and see what they say. I'll post the results tomorrow.

Last year when my family and I reserved the 4/3 deal I would say that we got all the stuff in the mail from WDW 1 - 2 weeks after paying off the final payment.

We got our Aug 1 trip package last Monday... hope it works out :(

Called WDW this morning and talked to a helpful CM. According to their records the paper work was sent out June 19th. We obviously haven't received anything, however they told us not to worry and that there would be a package waiting for us upon check-in.

So while I'm not totally happy with Canada Post - I think we'll be ok. Also, since we're driving down there is no ME required.

I hate Canada Post, we regularly get other people's mail & 2x this year we never received 2 bills (Home Depot & a Mastercard). One night at dinner this spring people living in another survey from us delivered a piece of our mail to us because it got sent to them (they had the same street # as us but on a different street).

I never trust Canada Post.

Glad you got things sorted out.

This is the first time I have booked the vacation for my family - what package are you referring to?

Typically you get a fancy envelope with your hotel reservation confirmation, ticket package information, any additional voucher items (picture voucher, arcade token voucher, etc...) Luggage tags have been sent in the past (not sure this year :) )

Also if you are flying the ME tags come as well.

All of this usually comes in a 8x10 or 11x14 Disney mailer.

It's an 8X6 envelope that screams "YOUR COMING TO DISNEY!!!" Blue envelope with clouds and Disney Travel Company and a little princess enjoying her stay :)

It does come with What will you celebrate luggage tags. I would expect that there may be a "diversion" somewhere in your mail chain.

(I once sent an email to Tim Horton's requesting some information on fair trade practise, and it arrive in a baggie with a "Your package got damaged in transit" sticker on it. The damage was a nice slit along the top of the envelope. Obviously someone thought it may contain goodies.
