We are planning a trip to WDW next Xmas, with kids ages 13, 11 and 9. The kids are okay with staying at WDW over Xmas, but dd is very concerned......will we have a tree, how will Santa come and so on.

I bought a small, cute artificial tree yesterday, and we even got a very cute tree skirt, mini ronaments and so on. SO that's taken care of.

But we fly. How do you do gifts, especially Santa? I was thinking I could take pictures of some of their presents, and they could open that up. I also figured I could do some gift certificates.

Maybe I could just have one suitcase for gifts, but we won't have tons of space. I could bring some gifts, as my kids usually get a book or two, and I could also bring a gameboy game (if that's on the list!

Help!!

How do you do it?

Julia

i told myu dtr the 2 weeks were her x mas gift, i mean give me a break it costs so much, of course i am a sucker and i got her an xbox and 10 games @ 10 bucks each-lol for it, and some accessories, and she opened er stuff when we got back home, i was slick, the tree was empty, when the limo came, she went out to get in and i rapidly threw everything under the tree so when we got back home, santa had come, it is too much because you are bringing enough stuff back with you

First time we were in WDW for Christmas, I packed all the small presents in a second suitcase. The big ones were under the tree at home (we picked our son up from daycare and left from there, so he didn't get into the house before we left). We drove home on Christmas day and made it home that day.

Next time, we were there for a few days after Christmas as well. Presents were again in a second suitcase (got smaller presents that year).

Both times, we took a small pre-lit tree and decorations and decorated our villa (DVC), plus the stockings. We also did some shopping while we were there, and I wrapped late one night after our son went to bed.

We were just there for Christmas. My boys left a note for Santa at home to tell him they went to Disney. Then, Santa left each of them a pair of Disney PJs and a Disney sweatshirt in the hotel room with a nice note saying he had left them a few things at home under the tree. They were very excited to open things when they got home and it didn't bother them at all to be away from home - they were at Disney after all!

I just can't see packing everything if you are flying and when would there actually be time to play with anything? Just my 2 cents but it worked perfect for us.

Oh, it was also nice that Santa was in the hotel lobby on Christmas Eve so the kids got to see him!
