Did MGM and AK, recieve more damage than the others?

I was just on disneyworld.com and this was posted in a popup:

deleted - the popup is no longer coming up and it shows the hours safari steve posted on the calendar.

Maci: I would assume that they are only opening MK and Epcot because they are expecting limited staffing. As with Charley, many CM's are unable to get to work and/or need to stay home to take care of the damages that they sustained. I don't think that the other parks got anymore than MK and Epcot as far as damages (although I could be wrong)... I think it is just to make sure that there is enough staffing. With Charley they kept AK closed and deployed the CM's from there to help at the other parks.

Oh that make sense!
Thanks liberty belle!

Does anyone know when Orlando airport (MCO) is opening?

Peace,
Viki

This is from a press release posted on www.orlandoairports.net:

"Passenger flight service is scheduled to resume at approximately noon September 6, 2004 at Orlando International Airport, following an area "all clear" from weather activity associated with Hurricane Frances. However, passengers with scheduled flights should contact their airline for the latest flight information. In addition, airline ticket counters will not open until 10:00 a.m.

Additionally please be advised that:

Southwest Airlines, Aeromexico, Air Jamaica, British Airways, CanJet, Cayman Airways, Condor/Thomas Cook, Copa, Martinair-Holland and Virgin Atlantic have advised that they will not resume passenger operations until Tuesday, September 7, 2004. "

I received a Travel Agent D-Flash with those hours. It stated that there was only minimal horticultural damage and that they did not lose power at any time. It also said guest areas were not affected by the storm.

Thanks so much Lisa. My family in both Tampa and Orlando are safe once again (they were all good after Charlie too) and it looks like we may get out tomorrow.

We shall see.

Peace,
Viki
