WDW on the fly

I'm so excited! We're headed to WDW on fairly short notice and I can't thank all of you enough for the great information I've found here in the last week.

I'm kind of worried that I won't remember everything, but there are so many good ideas here that I never would have thought of in a million years.

We're staying off-property this time. It's me, DH, my 8 year old daughter and my 5 year old son. They're great ages for this trip and they'll have the time of their life. So far I've managed to keep the trip a secret -- we'll see how long that lasts!

We travel 9-13 to 9-20. I'm not sure how I'll get it all done, so wish me luck!

You should have a wonderful time. We've been there many many times and leave on the 28th of August for our stay. Remember, if you forget anything, just ask any CM, where to go, what to see and what to do, they have endless suggestions to help you have a magical stay. Yes, your children are the perfect ages to do Disney. Our children started alittle earlier then yours, are both married and on theeir own but me and the wife still make the journey to WDW at least once a year. The looks on their faces are priceless no matter how many times they've been there. Just remember to relax, take your time and enjoy the total ideal of WDW, look around and see the odd things, sit on a bench, play in the water fountains and be kids yourself and enjoy your stay Good luck and have a joyful, magical and safe trip.

You have plenty of time! The biggest thing is not to overplan. You have to allow for some spontaneity in your trip. Have a wonderful time...this is certainly a great place for all things Disney.

I'm definitely not planning things down to the minute -- the kids are just too young for a full scale assault on WDW. I'm keeping my expectations low and hoping to have an enjoyable trip that's as stress free as possible.
