WDW Marathon Park Tickets

Does anyone know if they offer discounted park tickets for Marathon Weekend? I'm trying to decide if I should buy tickets today before the price increase (I've got a few hours) or wait and hope for a discount.

Hard to say...

This is a relatively new phenomina for marathon weekend. They offered discounted passes last year and I think the year prior. Both of these years were tough sell outs for the marathon. There were no discounts prior to these years. Discounts, if offered, may offset the increase, but generally it will be close. I guess that if you are looking to minimize pass costs, buy the sure price rather than possibly get shut out if they do not offer a race based discount on passes.

When did the discounts come out? And how were participants notified?

As I recall via email later in the summer or early fall. I may be wrong on the period, but that is what I recall.

Thanks for the info/advice. I don't think I ever got an e-mail. I'll probably buy some tickets from Undercover Tourist tonight. I've got several to buy as my husband and I have bribed our children with a trip to Disney if they do the half - it's gotten their butts off the couch.
