By this point, we had spent at least a full day at each of the main parks, so we had to decide which ones to return to for the last 2 remaining days. For Sunday, we decided on Epcot. This day ended up being a character day. Chris explained that it was the first day of the new bid- meaning that the characters had been redistributed around the parks. He had heard rumors that the characters were *finally* back in their country of orgin, which I was thrilled to hear and hoped was true.
When we started roaming around the countries, we found none other than Robin Hood on the bridge near France and England. Robin Hood is one of Chris's favorite characters, and he was all by himself for the most part so we had some fun chatting with him and posing for pictures.
Then, to my excitement, I spotted a familiar blue dress off in the distance in the corner of France! Yup, after 2 whole years, Belle and Beast were back in the World Showcase! Yahoo! As we approached them, we were in for a surprise- Belle was the same Belle from the other day at MGM who is good friends with Chris. Too funny. They were going in shortly after we arrived, but Belle did see us and smiled. The greeter said she would be back in about 20 minutes so we decided to hang around and wait for her. When she returned, Belle was by herself for a while. Without the Beast there, she tends to blend in with the guests. lol. We were able to have a nice, almost out of character chat with her until the Beast came out, drawing a lot more people. I watched Belle and Beast do meet and greets while singing B&TB songs (me, that is, not them). Belle had wanted me to sing again for her and Beast, but the line was too long. However, about 5 minutes before they had to leave, Belle called me over and had me sing.
Chris and I meet up with the character bus again. We had done it the last day we were at Epcot too, but this time it was less crowded. We met Terk, who was very excited to see Chris, another friend. Daisy Duck also seemed to know him as she walked up to him with her hands on her hips in a way that said "where have you been?" Chip and Dale were being myscheivious as usual and went inside the nearby store playing with beanie Figments.
We had lunch in Mexico. Their counter service food is scrumptious! I've had it before- really good Mexican food. I'd like to try the indoor place someday. We rode El Rio del Tiempo for a second time because Chris wanted to go on a dark boatride with me.
It had been really hot for the whole trip, and this day was no exception, so I begged to go to an indoors attraction. We decided on The Living Seas and spent a while there watching fishies and such. We later rode Track, using the singles line to cut down on the wait. Luckily, we ended up in the same car. For some reason, when we got to the barrier testing scene, the barrier that you almost run into which opens up right in the nick of time, wasn't there! That's where they take your picture. We got a good laugh when we went to check our picture because the expression on Chris's face was a look of "what the heck??" lol.
We wanted to be out of the park by 6pm because the Tony awards were on that night, and I did *not* want to miss them. I watch them every year. Before we left, I really wanted to try a French pastry, so I chose a chocolate eclair. Yumyum. We had subs delivered to my room for dinner that evening. It was a fun night because Sutton Foster won for best actress in a musical. Yahoo!
