WDW jobs

Why does it disturb you?

Because I am one of those rare people who truly loves my job. So it disturbs me that I spend so much time thinking about a permanent Disney escape plan. Maybe they need to develop a semester sabbatical program for adult professionals! I'm sure I can sell my boss on that one.:)

I LOVE that idea!!!!! I figure I'm too old for the College Program but this would be so awesome! I could sell DH on this idea more easily than packing up and moving to Florida!

Your never too old for the College Program :cool1:

I'm also too far from the Magic. If I could and money was no object, I would love to be a Photopass photographer at all four parks, starting with Epcot.

I have heard is around $9 an hour to start. Your bonus pay however can double your salary. That is however if you make bonus. Bonus is not always guranteed especially during slower months.

how would a cm make a bonus??

Love it! I live in Northern Kentucky, and understand your pain.

In my next phase of life, I hope to use my financial analysis skills in some capacity-either in Corporate (CA or FL, preferrably FL) for Disney.

One can only dream-it would be perfect, 2 of my favorite things: spreadsheets and Disney!

Woohoo I'm with you on this one! Talk about a dream job! :) Next...getting my hubby who works in a family owned business to move to Florida :scared1:

The one issue I saw with a lot of the postings were that most jobs were part-time. I would need full-time to move out of Ohio.

My application that is "In Progress" is a full-time job, thankfully, and incorporates both my educational background as well as career interests. Fingers crossed!

I am really hoping that the fact I haven't done CP or PI in the past doesn't hurt my chances at this position. Fortunately, the position prefers a Juris Doctorate and not a lot of Disney applicants with that education are looking at Disney for employment possibilities.

What are the requirements now to stay on seasonal at WDW?

I would love to work in several places...

1) Animal Kingdom, helping care for the animals and talking to guests about conservation/teaching them about the animals...or doing behind the scenes tours. :)

2) Epcot at the Sea's with Nemo and Friends...caring for manatees & answering questions about them.

More than once my high school BF's mom sat us and our friends down for a long lecture against working at DL. She was on a serious mission about it. Every time I look back, I regret listening to her. Someday I hope to work for Disney, but it's not in the cards for many years. I'd want to work at Star Tours or in the vicinity. Best job in the park (imo) is the Jedi Master at Jedi Training Academy, but I'll be too old for that role by the time I can apply. :charac2:

My dream is to be a nurse in the parks! This would most likely be my retirement job as I live in NY!

Applied for a Contract Services Manager position on 2/25/13 and went straight to Submission stage. On 3/8/13, dashboard changed to In Progress (I'm told that is a good thing). However, since then nothing has happened...no pre screening interview, nothing.

By those who have already been through this process, is this good, bad, ugly? Are they conducting interviews and keeping me in the maybe pile?

I applied some time in June, it changed to In Progress in July and I didn't get a follow up email until November.
