Anyone else go on the Walt Disney World Jobs facebook page everyday to make sure they haven't posted another job ( I live in Ky and can't even apply for one).

What park do you want to work at? Why? What position?

DH and I both want to be CM's in AK, our favorite park, and still can't decide what our dream job would be but thinking Safari or Tusker House for breakfast, either would be awsome!!!!! DH wants to walk around with a little broom/pan and sweep up.

Everytime we go we take pictures of CM outfits and DH and I talk about which one we want to wear, (this is really important in his world), hahahahaha

Love it! I live in Northern Kentucky, and understand your pain.

In my next phase of life, I hope to use my financial analysis skills in some capacity-either in Corporate (CA or FL, preferrably FL) for Disney.

One can only dream-it would be perfect, 2 of my favorite things: spreadsheets and Disney!

I never look but would love to work at Disney World. Would love to drive (pilot...aim) one of the launches on Bay Lake or 7 seas. But in reality my graduate degrees would shove me into their environmental division....which would be ok also. The day before we left to come home we spent an hour just chilling out at the GF lobby. They were taking though the new GF hires on a tour of the resort... We were shocked at the number of new hires... Like well over 100 men and woman...broken into groups of 20 or so. One of the CMs said they were everything from cooks to housekeeping to front desk persons... I guess they were showing them the building and teaching them the history of the resort. If they had not all been dressed in business attire i would have tried to jump in with them to see what i could learn... I was told WDW has 64,000 employees...:crowded:

So why can you not apply if you live in Kentucky? Is there a list of states they don't accept applications from?

It's nice to see a thread on here for WDW job applicants other than CP and PI.

I personally am in the "In Progress" stage of my administrative job application. Anyone else constantly checking their dashboards too? lol

I have been checking now for weeks!! Have you tried DisneyCareers.com or Disney Hourly Jobs? The job you want is likely an hourly job and they don’t list all the openings on Facebook. Have you checked Twitter they post jobs there also.

Also note Disney does not hire Specifically for a park. If your applying for attractions you might get a role in Fantasyland at Peter Pan or you might get lucky and work at AK at Tough to be a Bug. The Same goes for Merchandise and Quick Service Food. I have heard that you can mention your specific interest during an interview however you don’t have a guarantee you will get the park or attraction you want.

I check them every day for the same thing your checking :goodvibes sadly so far all I see is Internship or Management or Reservations. I been told the positions we are looking for are there but only posted internally. Which means we first have to get in before we can apply. Getting in would be starting at the bottom or at the very least reservations. Reservations being a call center is extremely structured. So if you can deal with that is likely the easiest way in.

I want to work in corporate figuring out which products to sell in their stores.

That would be awesome! I do that now for a museum and have a blast! Love seeing one of "my" shirts sell :D I can't even fathom the freedom and budget Disney has :wizard:

Just out of curiosity does anybody have even an idea what the reservations call center position makes? I have seen the openings in Tampa, but it doesn't mention salary.

I think I would like to give tours if I had to work within the parks. I enjoy working with people & it would be fun to do that.

Chances of getting an interview without a FL address are about as close to zero as you can get. I was pretty lucky, I live in Indiana but when I hired in (part time then went Seasonal) I had taken over an Orlando apartment lease from my daughter as she was moving out out state for training and didn't know if she would be back or not.

Very hard to hire in for anything less than part time now as the volume of College Program hires has increased in most business units which crowds out the Seasonal cast hiring.

Harder now to stay seasonal if out of state with the new requirements put in place last year, but still possible.

For the poster that said you get choices at casting, on the application you got 3 choices that they discuss in interview but not really assured of any of those depending on operational needs at the time.

I have heard is around $9 an hour to start. Your bonus pay however can double your salary. That is however if you make bonus. Bonus is not always guranteed especially during slower months.

They have a Facebook page that I stalk. :)
Someday I will get there!

Sorry if the link doesn't work. Just earch Walt DIsney Word Jobs in Facebook.

Thanks for posting this. My boyfriend and I were there at the end of February and were talking about the jobs from Bus drivers to sweeping in the park. He's retired. I have a background in Admin. I will most definitely looking on this site at jobs. I wouldn't mind a job with Disney.:cloud9:

I work at MK right now in Food & Beverage but I'd really like to work as a bartender in the Grand Floridian someday. Sometimes I do PAC (Parade Audience Control) at MK and I love wearing that bowtie :groom:

I look at the listings enough that it disturbs me. I'm a lawyer by trade but don't want to go back to California so I need a new field if I move in with the mouse. I think I would really like to be a tour guide. Or work in the Animation Gallery at DHS. Or make cakes.
