WDW insider tour! 11/30/05

I just took the insider tour on 11/30 and things were pretty much the same as they were in August with the exception of the added quest being the pirates quest.

You still recieve a VIP insider tour code unlike apparently what is happening in DL.

One new thing is up front they asked if anyone was only interested in the cards and not really looking forward to the tour. They promised to give all of the standard cards you win if you were on the tour. No bonus cards of course. I had not done the pirate quest so we did stay on it.

The questions asked during the tour were the same as last time and the answers can be found on these boards and there were no surprises there.

So we did Jungle cruise and then Pirates of the Carribean rides, and on to BTM.

The tour was pretty much the same all around. Still giving out the gold set by the way at the end as well. I read a rumor somewhere saying that was no longer the case but sure enough they were.

had a great time in all. But having done the tour two times now I would opt out at the beginning of the tour next

The gold set is no longer being given out at Disneyland as part of the 'prize pack', if you decide not to go on the tour. I do believe it is still given out at the end of the tour, however.

Thanks for the tour information. There seems to be a lot of confusion about how the parks are handling VMK quests and tours right now. It really helps to hear first hand reports.

Glad you were able to do the tour! How did they take you onto Pirates? Is there a back entrance like the Haunted Mansion?

it was not busy so they didnt have to take us a back way. They mentioned they could have if it was busy. wish i could have seen that LOL but oh well.

yeah they may not have given the gold set if we skipped it i am not sure about that califgirl.

When they take you in the back way to Pirates at Disneyland, they just take you in the exit. Nothing very exciting - after all you see it when you leave.

Bummer! We just missed you! We took the tour on 11/29, but were not given the opportunity to bow out of the tour (we probably would have - our guide did not like our family - LOL! - we wore VMK shirts that my son designed with our screen names on them for which we got reprimanded for right at the start of the tour in front of the whole group). Oh well - we had no idea it was against VMK's policy to share our screen names with anyone.... At least we got our pirate stuff which was our main objective
