Thank you WDW Info! This is the only current menu I have been able to locate for Bistro de Paris....and a happy surprise.....the take Tables in Wonderland.

I am a little confused when looking at it and hope somebody can fill in the blank.

The term "Filet Mignon" does not have to mean beef, but generally refers to the best or small cut of beef from the cow - also why it is so expensive. When looking at this menu, it appears that they use the term Filet Mignon for pork.

I asked my manager (from France) if that is normal and she said generally at home in France, Filet Mignon refers to beef and not pork. She said some words I cannot spell or pronounce which generally refer to a pork tenderloin or a small cutlet of tender pork.

So, just to make sure we do not have any surprises - the Filet Mignon is pork and the only beef they have is Filet de baeuf??

My husband is not big on foreign food...I really want to try Bistro, but I need to have him prepared for what they have. (and also that menu items can and do change)

Yes, you are correct. The filet mignon du porc is pork, and the filet du boeuf is beef. Probably, filet mignon refers to the tenderloin, a specific cut of meat, that you can find in both a cow and a pig.

On a side note, the lamb was AMAZING! I would highly recommend it.

Why are you concerned about the French when the English translation is right there? You don't have to worry about what you're ordering if you just look at the translations.
