There are thousands of posts out there comparing BCV and BWV. We have stayed at both and know the pros and cons. What I really need to know is what will the weather be like from Nov 17-25? I know it is impossible to predict but I am trying to decide if we will use Stormalong Bay. We have young children and the pool is a huge factor...if it will be used.

The points are exactly the same that time for BCV and BWV preferred view.

Any advice and/or experiences are greatly appreciated.

If the it's too cold for the pool, then I'd consider a cheaper standard view room at BWV.

Here are some additional details.
Boardwalk view is not available
Standard view is also not available

We are wait listed for a boardwalk view.

Thanks in advance everyone.

You know that is Thanksgiving week, right? There might not be much availability at either resort for a points reservation this late.

The standard villa at BWV will be even harder to get than the preferred.

You do have a reservation at your home resort for that time already, I hope. Then if nothing is available for those days at BWV or BCV, you'd at least have your home resort.

I called yesterday at the 7 mth window and secured a BWV preferred view room. BCV was also available as was AKV. I was surprised but I am sure the availability will dry up quickly.

Wow!! Lucky you. We prefer BCV over BWV, but BWV should be as nice.

If you have a car, parking at the BW can get difficult. Lots of visitors park there to avoid paying for parking at Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios. BCV has self parking that is very convenient to the villas. BWV is more in the middle of all the action. BCV is behind the BC, so it tends to be quieter. For walking to Epcot and DHS, neither can be beat.

Thanks for that analysis. We never rent cars, so it's not an issue for us, but I remember the last time we stayed at Caribbean Beach they made a big deal about parking stickers for guests with cars. Does the Boardwalk have this same policy? If so, why do they not care about this problem enough to eradicate it?

Evidently not, except during Food & Wine Festival on the weekends. Then they really check the parking passes and only let BW guests with the parking pass enter the area.
