Morning All :)

So we've been back from the world for about 4 weeks now :( All I can think about it going back! OH isn't too keen on the idea, he loved it this year but he wants to go to other places for the money.

I however keep looking at prices :rolleyes1

I've done a little review this morning, and a week from 1st November - 8th November at SSR with free dining is coming in at £1660 with our tickets included.

We stayed at SSR this year, and just loved the close proximity to DTD & how easy it was to get the bus to Universal, seaworld etc. Would you recommend staying at the same place or would you mix it up a bit each time and stay somewhere different? I know we can get to DTD by boat from OKW, POR & POFQ so we could always look there?

Would MNSSHP be on at this time? I've not done much research into it, but know its on around Halloween which would be a good selling point to the BF.

Is November good weather as well? May was perfect for us, hot enough for the BF to catch his tan but not too hot I couldn't cope (I have very fair skin and dont like it too hot!)

Bear in mind the flight prices and also school term times in 2014 should be from Friday 24 October to Monday 3 November.

Clocks go back 2 November 2014, so will be darker sooner and you should be there during a cross over period of the Halloween and Christmas decorations, a fun time to go.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year in November is on the 8, 11, 14, 15, 17, 21 and 22 while Mickey's Not-So-scary Halloween Party in October is on 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 14, 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31 and November 1 only.

Thanks! I didn't even think to check the school holidays!

Getting darker earlier isn't too much of big deal for me to consider, but school holidays might make me push it back slightly!

We went last year from 29th Oct - 12th Nov and went to the last MNSSHP and the first MVMCP - both were great. I loved this time of year - Halloween, Christmas, Food and Wine Festival, Eat to the Beat. I really wish we could do it again. The crowds were fine and the weather was lovely - not too hot but warm enough to swim and go to water parks.

We're going this year 29th Oct - 12 Nov and are booked for 2014 too 28th Oct - 11th Nov, both times we're staying at SSR which is our favoured resort.

To answer your question about switching it up... my DW and I never agree on that! :rotfl2: I am of the view "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" and for me, I love SSR, it works for me, don't need to look elsewhere! We have stayed at POR and at CBR but I love SSR and I'm happy to stay there every time. DW would probably like to try all of the hotels over time.

As for the time of year, you'll be there for both MNSSHP and MVMCP if you time it right. It switches the first weekend of November.

This is the exact week we are looking at going this yr!! We always go in September to October and are really worried its going to be too cold for us to swim or do water parks :(

We would go early but friends are there at this time and we would love to join them plus our boys are begging us to go with them and there little boy, so I'm now frantically reviewing November weather lol, last yr we was ther end of October but it was cold the last few days due to hurricane and so it put me off lol

I agree with this having tried several resorts we don't bother now as we know which resorts we love and why we love them! We love BLT and OKW. BLT for shorter breaks to be close to the action and OKW for longer stays as we love the relaxed atmosphere.

The last MNSSHP will always be 1 November with the Xmas party starting about a week later.

If you're only staying until nov 8th, you'll probably miss MVMCP and the decorations. But you'll probably make the last MNSSHP if that's what you want. If you haven't been there for christmas yet, I strongly advice you to go about a week later so you get to see it. It's fantastic!

Is the Xmas secs worth the colder weather?

Thanks guys!

What are the flight prices like in November? I've got a week in SSR, free Dining & ultimate tickets at £1662 for 2 in a studio. If I could get flight prices for £1200 for both of us I'd book it now! But I'm wary the prices could rocket by the time I could book in December!

When we were there in May we had free dining & it was great we didn't buy any extra food at all! So I'm thinking if I can book this now & get the free dining we really could just do it cheaply compared to this year where we went crazy & bought everything we wanted. We'd barely need any extra spends.

What the weather like for clothing in November? It would still be warmer then the UK I assume but is it jeans & a jumper kind of thing!

We always go in nov and the weather is fine, shorts and tshirt without a doubt. We usually do at least 3 water parks and have only felt the cold once but even that wasnt too bad and the park, aquatica, was more or less empty. Flight prices are about average for the year. Definitely my preferred time of year to visit.

I'm very happy to read this! What dates in November have you done?

Check out the following http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/vacationplanner/wxclimatology/daily/USFL0615?climoMonth=11

It shows sunrise, sunset, mean, average high and low temperatures for each day in November.

While the link below and about half way down the page it shows a table of the monthly average rainfall with November being the lowest month at 2.14 inches.

We've been a few times over the last week of October and the first in November and it's always been very pleasant and although we would still be wearing our summer gear in the early evenings, we've noticed some of the locals can look over-dressed with jumpers and coats.

We flying out 20/11-05/12 this year and for two adults and two children with virgin we are paying £1800 for flights thats with complete orlando

Usually the first 3 weeks in nov. My mam can have her anniversary and birthday out there then, usually come back the weekend before thanksgiving. Gets quite busy that week

This.:thumbsup2

We normally go the first 3 weeks in November and its by far our most fav time of year for several reasons, but the weather is the main reason. Without a doubt its warm enough to swim. We have nearly always had weather in the low 80's dropping to the high 70's towards the end of our hols and NO humidity....bliss:) There are off course exceptions to this rule and you can hit a chilly spell in the evenings.
