We're planning our first "May" visit to WDW in 2006, and I'd love to hear from you experts who have visited in May - specifically, on any special events, operating hours, crowds, and so on. Thanks!

We have went the 1st full week of May a few times it's hot or seems hot to us crowds moderate. Seems we've caught the flower festival a couple of times not much to that we didn't do any special events with it I remember some of the displays out in the parks but other than that no big event to us.

I liked goin early May its much better than early June. Unfortunately we no longer get to take DD out of school to go in May. It's gettin hot in early May but not near as hot as early June and most of the snow birds have gone home and the summer crowds not hit yet.

Weekends in May there tends to be Grad nights at the MK usually on Friday best I remember never effected us tho.

Some of the nicer TS resturants might fill up for Mother's Day which is a very busy day for restaurants everywhere.

Memorial Weekend prolly has a bit of effect on the crowd levels in the parks but nothing like Thanksgiving or Christmas. And it not till the end of the month.

We're planning an early May visit, so hopefully the crowds and the hours will be good!

We went the first week in May this year. Weather was hot, but not unbearably so. We had showers several times, but carried ponchos. It was somewhat crowded on May 5th because of the opening ceremonies for the Happiest Celebration on Earth, but not bad the rest of the week. I love the Flower and Garden Show - the topiaries are so fantasic. And they included 50 "hidden Mickeys" throughout the show this year too!
