WDW in July 2005 - Who else is brave?

We are going July 23rd through the 31st and staying at POFQ and WL. We've been to WDW many many times, but never in July! We are mentally getting prepared for crowds and heat!

The plus side is that since we have been so many times we aren't in that commando mentality and will come and go as we please.

Everyone have a great trip!

We are going in July this year as well. Last two years we went in June, but we had to wait for my husband's vacation time to accumulate since he has a new job. We will leave 7/15 and depart 7/23. Can't wait!

We were there last year,June 28th to july 11. It was great! I hate the heat,so I was kinda worried but,ya know what,it was SO worth it!!!

We are going in July! We went last year & it was great. It wasn't very crowded at all. As a matter of fact our first day at MK we did almost everything by noon. Jusy plan to go early, wear sunscreen & keep your misty mate close by! :)

When in July were you there? :)

We'll be on our honeymoon from the 3rd to the 10th. We don't have much choice as far as timing goes. By the way, for all who are going I invite you to sign in at the "Visiting the World July 2005" thread. The link is below in my signature. You will find all kinds of other brave souls such as yourself.

Both of our trips to Disney have been in July. We loved it! Yes, it was hot and crowded. But nothing that really couldn't be managed. Use Fast Pass!Enjoy your trip. :flower:

Last year we were there the week after 4th of July. it was great. July 10th we had breakfast at 7am at CRT, when we finished we rode pratically everything with no wait! Most people didn't start showing up until later in the morning. :) It was great!

We'll be there July 6-13. Currently booked at POR but want to switch to WL when AP rates come out. This is our 3rd July visit. We do lots at night!!

It's great to hear from others who've braved the world in July. I know it'll be fine, but DH is all freaked out LOL

10 more days! I can't wait! I'm keeping a watchful eye on the weather forecast...started our packing, going through the "to-do" checklist!

We're leaving VA on Sat. 7/16, stopping in Savannah, GA for the night then to WDW the next day. We'll be at SSR for 4 days and then 3 nt DCL on the Wonder. Never been on a cruise, but I KNOW we;ll be spoiled so we're booking a 7 night Western on board! We went last year in July and WHOA! Weren't prepared for the heat! Different story this year:

Bringing: Neck coolers, all 4 of us have a personal mister w/ fan, got 2 stroller fans (1 for toddler & 1 for the stroller pusher or if it's real hot, toddler gets both fans!) an ice pack cover in a towel under the back side of the stroller pad, frozen Propel water (stays cold while it melts), light colored clothing and that's all I can think of right now. Can you tell I hate the heat? BTW, there's a cool post on tips to Beat the heat..do a search the name of the exact thread was Tips to Beat the Heat.

11 more days for us :moped: and I haven't even began packing!!! :earseek:
I just can't wait. :cool1: :cool1: I can't stand the heat and I'm from Texas but I will certainly break a sweat for MICKEY!!! ::MickeyMo

been doing since i was 5 and now in 14! WOOO HOOO! july 26-31! cant wait to go back

we are going 15th july for 2 weeks in a villa. this will be our 2nd trip, last time we went in june and that was hot enough!!
oh well we are prepared for the crowds!!! see any of you guys there. :cool1:

We went to AK just for a day trip on Friday, 7/1. The weather was definitely hot and humid, but riding KRR several times helped combat that. The crowds were much lighter than I'd anticipated, especially before 1:00. We had waits of ten minutes or less for everything. We even ate lunch right around noon and were in line less than ten minutes, finding a table quite easily. I'd figured it would be gridlock in there like it was in August 2002 (where we saw few crowds in the other parks), but we were very pleasantly surprised by how navigable the AK was.

We swore we'd never do it again, but we are going in just six more days!

I don't care if it's hot, crowded, etc etc. We'll be in WDW having a fabulous time, sweating and eat Mickey bars out the wazoo with everyone esle!!

Wow, that is GREAT news -- manageable crowds on Fourth of July weekend! Hopefully next week will be manageable too.

We are there then too!! POP here we come!!!

We were there last August! Hot yes! But we're from Canada - we remember January. And February. And March. When we can get some heat, we'll take it! Water, rest, shade and fun! And to be in WDW, all the better!! :mickeyba princess: :cutie:
