I'm thinking about the first or second week in March for a WDW trip. Would this avoid Spring BreaK? How is the weather then?
In 2004 we went the last week in April/first week in May and it was pretty crowded. We usually go in November when crowds are very small and would like to find the same situation in March.
Any help?

The first week of March is not too bad. We have gone the 2nd week of March the last 2 trips for spring break and the crowds are fairly large. The first week may not have as long of hours but the crowds should be better.

Been out of picket this weekend and didn't answer your question. The weather was great the second week of March. The nights can be a little cool. The last week of Feb. and first week of March have been very unpredictable over the last few years.

We've been the LAST week of May and the first week of March. May was too hot.

So in 2003 we went the first week in March and were VERY happy with that decision. The weather was cool and rainy on a couple days, but still warm enough that dh and I wore shorts and t-shirts, and our kids wore shorts and sweatshirts. We swam at our resort pool a couple times, and it was warm enough for that. The crowds were not bad at all. We never had long waits (used fast pass whenever possible.) We loved it so much that we planned our next trip for the same time frame: late Feb/early Mar 2005. Even though Easter is earlier next year, I have found that most schools still won't have their spring break until atleast mid-March. From what I have learned, after President's Day and before the spring breaks begin, is a great time to go. I hope it holds true for our next trip. ;)

If you can go the 1st or 2nd week-- pick the 1st week. We were there for 1/2 of both this year. The first 1/2 of our trip was really quiet!!! By the middle though the crowds were there STRONG!! It was really crowded for that 2nd week.

The weather was nice too. It ranged from the low 70's- the low 80's for our trip. We had 2 days where we couldn't swim because it was cloudy and windy-- so it was just a bit too chilly. But we did TL twice!! The nights were still alittle chilly though. The later part of our trips the parks were open late due to the crowds and once the sun went down you needed a sweatshirt at least--long pants too were better.
