Torn between taking advantage of following the unofficial guides best days for which park and taking advantage of the extra magic hours morning. What do you think? Would you do it if the parks open at 8 versus line or just be there at 9 for a different park?

In Dec 2004, I disregarded all the recommended day information. We didn't miss a thing by not using this strategy. In fact, our first full day, we went to Epcot and walked onto Mission Space and Test Track, even after getting a pic with holiday Mickey. We used 1 FP the entire trip and that was only for the newest attraction, Stitch's Great Escape. We also did not take advantage of EMH in the am. Do what makes sense for your group instead of worrying about what a guidebook says, at least at this time of the year. We will be right there with you, 11/30 - 12/10. Enjoy your trip!!

DH and I went for a long weekend last year the first weekend in December. We took advantage of EMH (morning) at MK and at AK. We got through everything at those two parks by 2pm each day. It was wonderful!!! We saw so much so quickly, we were able to get a lot more done than we thought!! We didn't go at commando pace either! It was an enjoyable weekend for us both! :thumbsup2

You're going at a great time: the weather is nice (if sometimes nippy), the decorations are up, and the crowds are scarce. We did an early December trip a few years ago, and many of the most popular attractions (Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Rock n Roller Coasster) were walk ons! No waits longer than 10-15 minutes.

I wouldn't sweat EMH. Go and have a magical time!! :wizard:

We've been there twice, the first week in December, and we are doing it again this year. So far we have not had any problem with large crowds. With the exception of the day they are filming the Christmas Parade in MK. And from what I understand, they did that on several differant days last year. I'm not sure if they went to other parks on other days or what. We didn't make it there last December, so I'm not real sure about that. We were there one year for the taping of the parade and loved it, but the park does get alot more crowded on that day. Everyone trying to be on TV. But it was fun and we would do it again.

Back in 2002 I followed the Guide's suggestions on which park/which day for my starting park. Afternoons and evenings I just did whatever struck my fancy. Short lines the whole time. I plan to do the same thing this December.
