I live in NJ, but in yesterdays NY Post, they have a travel section and it was on Florida hotels. In Central Florida, they had Wilderness Lodge #1, Animal Kindom #2, Ritz Carlton #3 and Pop Century #4. Not to bad as we will be arrivng on June 26th to PC. The write up excellent. :cool1:  :cool1:

I was surprised that none of Universal's hotels were on the list. I have never been to Orlando (September will be the first time for me), but the Portofino Resort at Universal looks mighty impressive.

sounds good to me, since we are staying at POP *AND* WL this next trip

The article says nothing about the criteria used in the so-called ranking. Apparently, just someone's opinion. Also, they are comparing apples to oranges, making the rankings completely meaningless. Pop Century and the Ritz Carlton in the same grouping. Say what?

I would certainly never pick Pop Century over the Grand Floridian, the Beach Club, the The Yacht Club, or the Boardwalk Inn. Not now. Not ever!

Someone must have been at Pop Century on drugs to pick it over any of the DVC resorts, GF, Polynesian, CSR, etc.

Wow, pretty amazing. The Poly is an impressive ressort. The WL was wonderful. The AKL was awesome. POP was OK. The icons were great, the theming was fun, but one night was enough for us. Way too crowded!! The kids went to the counter service with dad in the morning and said , " Mom, be glad you didn't go! And it was so LOUD!
