we just planned a last minute trip on sat to go to wdw for just 1 day.
ok, there is a little more to the story....we are going on our first ever disney cruise and want to arrive early in case of any delay(and be able to at least get to the park for a day)
work wont let us have any additional time off-we are lucky we got the cruise time off being so last minute-we leave in 3 weeks!
but, we did get the time off for the cruise and the ability to go 1 day early which is better than no days.
what should we do on the 1 day now??
I told my wife we are going to cram 10 days of fun into 18 hours!!
here is the plan:
we are taking the red-eye on tuesday july 18, will arrive in orlando on weds july 19 at 8am.
take ME to our resort-first time at SS for the one night, then go to MK. Get on the new POTC and other rides until noon or so. Maybe stay later, not sure.
Go to lunch at either kona cafe(never been) or le cellier.
then go to epcot and spend the day. go to dinner at either chef mickeys or cape may clam back-then either back to epcot or Mk. would love to be able to do illuminations then wishes and spectro.
after that, possibly go to MGM since they have an EMH, or go to DD, or back to room.
In the morining of thurs july 20, get up early and take ME back to airport, then switch to DCL bus to go to port. the reason i dont want to take bus from resort is i have read they dont leave until 12-1pm. if we go back to the airport using ME, the buses start leaving there for the port around 10 am, so we can get there early and check in and be on board as soon as they let us. ive been told that between 1130-1.
we arrive back from the cruise on sunday and then we have to fly home that afternoon at 155, so we cant go back to the parks.
we do have 2 comp 1 day park hopper passes that we thought we would never have a use for since we always by either PAP or 10 day hoppers(i still have my PAP voucher as well that i have not activated yet!)
so how does this sound?? any suggestions?? Or is there no way this will work??

Then again, you do qualify as a vet, so you know what you're in for...
