My husband regularly reminisces about the buffalo chicken sandwich he had at Cosmic Ray's on our honeymoon in 1999. We didn't return until 2007 with our first child and, of course, his beloved sandwich was long gone. :scared1: :rotfl:

In 2007, my daughter had salmon, green beans and rice somewhere in AK that she really loved. We can't remember where it was and haven't been able to find it on subsequent trips. It was a CS place and I can see the inside of it in my head, but I haven't ever had a flash of recognition any time we've been there. Darn you, aging memory! :lmao:

Are there any foods that you loved that disappeared or that you were never able to find again?

My wife misses the Monte Cristo sandwiches at Columbia Harbor House.

I miss:

-beaver tails at Canada
-Ohana's pineapple with caramel
-Akershus before it added characters
-Cinderella's Royal Table lunch/dinner before it added characters - the prime rib was really good
-Hollywood and Vine when it had Hollywood Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, etc.

We miss when Tusker House was CS. Great fried chicken sandwich and carrot cake.

Spoodles was a good TS choice before they dumbed down their menu in 06-07. Several interesting Mediterranean choices.

Kona did a Kona Chowder that was out of this world.

Le Cellier had a maple glazed filet that I loved.

Any kind of good food at Le Cellier

The little orange drink in the plastic orange with the green straw

And I agree, Akershus before they added the Princesses and took the hot foods off the buffet and made you order an entree.
:sad1:

The clam chowder in a bread bowl at Columbia Harbour House
The Fried Chicken sandwich at Tusker House when it was the best CS

You are thinking of Tusker House. It was a CS before turning into the TS buffet it is now. It was also our favorite CS in the AK. My mom and son both loved the salmon.

I miss the old Boca burgers at CS locations. Not a fan of the new veggie burgers. I also had a fantastic cumin flavored veggie patty at The Mara back in 2007 but I guess it is gone now. :sad2:

I also miss the pineapple and caramel sauce that was the old dessert at 'Ohana. Just super light and fresh after what can be a very heavy meal. The bread pudding they serve now is fantastic, but the fresh pineapple was just perfect after that meal.

I also miss the lounge they had in the Japan pavilion. It was nice to have a little sushi and drink break mid-day.

Original Citrus swirl from the Sunshine Terrace

I miss breakfast at boatwrights in port orleans resort

1) Ah, yes.
2) The good ole days.
3) When Disney food was
. . . unique
. . . out-of-the-ordinary
. . . and delicious

confirming a PP...that was Tusker house...and it was good!

In 2005 I had a ham & swiss on a pretzel roll at the Electric Umbrella in Epcot. It was so good - especially with the toppings bar. :goodvibes

My husband had a breaded pickle years ago at GF Cafe and he still talks about that crazy thing!

Top of the World Dinner Show at the CR.
When each lounge had unique drink offerings
When WS offerings were more ethnic and delicious

The Handwich in The Land
In Adventureland the Hot Dog Egg Roll

Those were the first things I had when I got to the world :sad1:

Citrus Swirl from Sunshine Terrace
The pineapple-topped teriyaki burger in Adventureland
Chicken pot pit from the Plaza Restaurant

I had chocolate souffle with peanut butter ice cream at Cali Grill the first time we went there and it was amazing! I don't know if it's ever come back - it wasn't on the menu the next time we went.

Plastic Orange w/ straw.. one of my favorite memories.

Chocolate Mint Crepes served at the Castle for dessert.. although I have the recipe :)

In the 1970's The Contempory served a Meatball sub that was awesome!!! But this was back in the day when there was a movie theater and shooting gallery in the giant game room that is now The Wave.
