DFi has some requests for our Disneymoon Dining and one of the is CHEESE FONDUE! :rotfl2:

Any WDW Dining Gurus know where we can get Cheese fondue?

I checked the menus on all ear and dis, but can't find any. :confused3

Thank you!!! :worship:

I think you might be S.O.L. on this one, I've never seen it there. Closest thing is the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier that I can think of. Maybe someone else will have better news for you?

Congrats on the upcoming Disneymoon:) I can't think of any on-site places that have cheese fondue(there may be one, I just can't think of it).

A possible alternative: You can purchase a mixed swiss cheese fondue at many grocery stores that is really very good (DW and I love fondue and have been eating this stuff for years). If you're in a resort room with a microwave you could have some DIY cheese fondue. We usually add a little extra cheese and some white wine and it's pretty yummy stuff. The kind I'm thinking of doesn't require refrigeration, so you could even buy it at home and pack it in your luggage.

Of course having some freshly made fondue on site would be better, maybe another Dis-er will have some suggestions.:earsboy:

I don't know of any place at disney but I do no that Orlando has a melting pot if you have a car.

Great ideas and suggestions! Disappointed but love the creativity of the in room dining and wish we had our car to check out the melting pot!

I have questioned why Disney does not do a Melting Pot type restaurant and the only thing I can come up with is:
1. Not very family oriented, could be an insurance nightmare with so many little ones around. But, they could make it a Signature restaurant.
or
2. It is a slow service. I know when we go to Melting Pot we plan on at least 2 hours. That would mean less turn over each day.

Still, I think it would be a hit. I know I would go. :confused3

But to answer the op question: There is a Melting Pot in Orlando and they often have deals for it on restaurant.com

That's definitely another reason why the planned-but-never-built Swiss pavilion in Epcot would've been awesome! :upsidedow

They have a good melted cheese appetizer in the new Mexican sit down restaurant... It name is La something or other can't remember right now,, but maybe someone on here knows the name of the restarant....It is a blend of cheeses melted on a deep dish and served with tortia's, it was good actually...:thumbsup2

The only time I've had cheese fondue was at the F&WF last year - one of the booths had it. It was okay - a little runny and short on dippers (like 3 chunks of bread and a few fingerling potatoes).

1) Restaurants do not do a fondue.
2) But, there are several just off-site.

3) For a change, you could try
. . . buy some nachos
. . . buy a burger
. . . throw away the nacho chips
. . . throw away the burger meat
. . . dunk the bun into the nacho sauce
. . . dunk the pickle into the nacho sauce
. . . voilà !
. . . cheese fondue with meat and veggie !
:woohoo:

didn't Disney just come through a lawsuit related to hot cheese at Pecos Bills or some other burger stand?

Hey, that's the ticket....order the extra bun, cut it up and dunk in the hot cheese sauce...:rotfl2: -rats should have read the whole thread...some other sick mind works the same way!
