But after reading a few that other folks have done I decided to do a brief one

Having recently separated from DW I needed something to cheer me up and get rid of some emotional baggage so I thought of WDW where else!
Quite looking forward to being able to please myself and just go and do whatever takes my fancy without having to take other people into account. Must admit though I am a little apprehensive about going solo and the emotional impact of going somewhere with so many happy memories but Im sure the old Disney magic will win through. :thumbsup2

WHEN: 26<sup>th</sup> September until 10<sup>th</sup> October 2011

STAYING: At Port Orleans Riverside with 14 day WDW ticket

GETTING THERE: Flying PE with Virgin Atlantic from Gatport Airwick, booked with M&M.

Never flew PE before, so looking forward to being in the bubble hence booked 747 flights and not the new Airbus ones.

Not having a car as I plan to spend most of the time in WDW, apart from a day trip to IOA/US to see stuff I havent seen before (like Harry Potter), so have booked Magical Express transfers.

FOOD: I have the free quick service dining popcorn::

plan so most of my dining requirements are covered, although I did fancy splashing out on a few table meals and have booked the following ADRs:

Boma
Sanaa (Curry Fix!)
Yachtsmans Steakhouse (Steak Fix!)
Tusker House (lunch)

I have been studying the quick service menus so that Im not living on burgers for 2 weeks! :sick:

PLANS: I have all my days pretty much planned out (I wont bore you with the day to day plans and you would be bored after seeing my 4 page, colour coded Excel spreadsheet1).
Heres a few highlights:

MNSSHP wasnt going to this but managed to persuade myself to go. I have booked for the 27<sup>th</sup> September. My costume will be limited to a Halloween t-shirt.

Also going to a water park for the first time have chosen Typhoon Lagoon. Really looking forward to just sitting in an inner tube and floating round the river for a few hours (do they have restrooms around the river or do you just go in the ??! :sad2:

)

There is plenty of time allocated to relaxing round the POR quiet pools and the POR bar as well :drinking1

I can relate to the colour coded spreadsheet! We're only going for a week so I'm cramming in as much as possible, including MNSSHP (first time!) like yourself. Be good to hear your report on the party when you come back so I know what to look out for etc. Enjoy the rest of your planning! x

Your plans sound great Tim....especially MNSSHP - I am gutted as we can't do it this year, it's not on for the 3 nights we are there when we get off our cruise. :guilty:

We fly home on the 27th so just miss the one you are going to! It is great fun, i'm sure you will enjoy it. :goodvibes

You will love Virgin PE, although you won't ever want to go back to Economy.

I think you should post your daily plans, we won't find them boring - we are all Disney nutters here! :crazy:

Tim, your plans sound really good and a great way of taking your mind off of things!

Being a solo traveller will be good fun, on previous trips ive had to had nights on my own either due to me arriving before family or them going home before me and have always found the staff loook after you more!

Some of the restaurants if you sit at the bar they will give you little extras, i know in Planet Hollywood I got a free JD and in Hooters they absolutley adore solo travellers!!!

29th Sep - Epcot am, POR pool pm and DTD evening

1st Oct - DTD am, afternoon and evening free
2nd Oct - POR pool am, DHS pm and Yachtsman's evening
3rd Oct - IOA/US all day, MK evening
4th Oct - MK am/pm, Sanaa evening
5th Oct - Epcot most of day (Food and Wine Festival)
