WDW Fire Dept. T-Shirts....

My husband works for the City of Biloxi Fire Dept. and he was told that if he took a Biloxi Fire Dept. t-shirt to another fire dept. they would swap it for one of theirs. I guess this is something between fire dept.'s. Does anyone know if the fire dept. by the MGM Studios area will do this??? Can the public just drive up and say hi??? I know you can in other cities...but this is Disney, maybe they don't allow anyone on their property. We are going to Orlando in 4 weeks and I would love to get a t-shirt if I could. Any info is welcomed...

I know that you can drop in to say hi. I don't know about the t-shirt swapping thing though. It couldn't hurt to ask.

If you are talking about Reedy Creek - it's directly across from CBR...why can't you drop by? My ex husband is a deputy chief in our fire dept here and although he didn't stop by Reedy Creek, it's the "brother" thing that these guys have...I'm sure you will be welcomed.

My hubby is a firefighter and when we were there last year he visited the Reedy Creek station. As they say, it is a brotherhood. He gave them a patch and a t-shirt and one of the guys actually gave him one of his own shirts from his locker (apparently they're not supposed to, but my hubby is very convincing and friendly He also brought a patch and gave it to Mickey's Fire Department in MK. They said they would post it up. They had some awesome t-shirts to buy there last year, this year not so great selection. Hope this helps.

Just in case there any other Firemen out there that might want to trade shirts at the Reedy Creek station......I finally got in touch with them and they said they sell them for $15 but you MIGHT find someone on shift that would trade one of their shirts with you. They also give tours of the station and communications center. Thanks Dan for the link with the info on it.

Sure we can swap shirts, but you need to bring one to Station 1. Feel free to swap patches too!

Reedy Creek just switched work shirts from navy to heather, so the guys only have 6 shirts each right now. They may be willing to trade the older ones.

Thanks caparamedic... I got my husband a shirt in October. Hopefully the station will be open when we go back to Orlando later this year. Maybe we will see you there! He is in 3 different fire departments (2 volunteer and 1 regular job) so maybe he can bring some patches also.

Jay says hi! Boy was he surprised when he looked at my computer screen!! He had nothing but nice things to say about you!

He was skinny and had toothpick arms then. Jay is all grown up now and his arms are almost doubled in size! What a dude!
