WDW Family Fun Run 5k Jan 11, 2008

I have previously done the 1/2 and this year I was too slow signing up. I am now going to do the 5k. Since, I am now doing the 5k, I thought the kids may want to also.

I have searched the Disneyworldsports family 5k website and it doesnt specify a minimun age. Anyone know? My kids are 7 & 8

I haven't been able to find an age limit either. I am signing me and DS6 up for it for this year also. He didn't really like the kids races, and has already been training to run this 5k for almost 2 months now. My understanding is that there really isn't an age limit on the 5k's.

We took Billy in the Family 5k when he was 2. Granted I carried him most of the way but he did run the last little bit and got his medal. Especially when Pluto was there to meet him. Last year we just did the kids races and that worked out much better. I would recommend that for the kids under 8 unless they are already running further distances. Parents are able to run with the kids but the parents don't get any medals.
