Did you know that Main Street is designed perfectly! they have Food on the right side so when you are arriving you will grab something to eat and they have gift shops on the left so before you leave you will grab a souvenier

:scratchin Hmmm.

Excellent marketing concept. I think I can use this one on DH for our next trip to MK!

Did you know that
1) There is no Snow White's Castle?
2) There is no Cinderella's Castle?
3) Neither is possessive, and they don't have an apostrophe-s at the end.
4) They are "Snow White Castle" and "Cinderella Castle".

Did you know if you stand right in front of the castle at precisely noon and look at the highest spire the sun will reflect perfectly off the top spire and create a Tinkerbell shape. This was something that the Disney Imagineers toyed with and could never prefect. However, Many people have seen it.

Did you know that Cinderalla Castle in the hallway leading through the castle, is a mural of the Wicked Stepsister. The mural is actually a tile mosaic, and if you look closely several of the tiles are actually made of 24 karot Gold.

Also, the murals in the castle depict the Wicked Step Sisters. Look at their faces. One of the faces is Red the Other Green. The reason - one is to be "Red with Anger" the other "Green with Envy" as Cinderella tries on the slipper.

did you know that you should never leave your hat on while riding splash mountain

i learnt the hard way
well at least my sister caught it
:)

Pirates of the Caribbean - The left line is shorter. What I mean is if you walked through both side and timed it, you would get there faster going through the left. That also means you get on the ride quicker if you go on the left.

It is 30 degrees specifically
Where did you get this info? That seems pretty steep to me. Maybe it's 3 degrees? I mean, 30 would make getting to the castle a serious climb!

Never been to WDW...but, found this on a website...thought it was interesting!

"The names of 2 of the approach procedures that all aircraft follow into their arrival at Orlando International Airport are named GOOFY TWO and MINEE TWO. Any pilot that flies into there can confirm this"

There are four standard terminal arrivals:
BITHO SEVEN
GOOFY FIVE
LEESE ONE
MINEE THREE

Pretty neat. I never knew this.

Did you know that there are more than 10,000 hidden Mickey's in WDW?

Where or Where do i find the 10K+ Hidden Mickey List? :Pinkbounc

How long would that take to read and to find? :goodvibes

Anyone have an extra long stay at WDW soon? :rotfl:

Did you know that WDW president Al Weiss makes 357,142 times more money than his boss, Mickey Mouse?

I am pretty sure this is incorrect. How do I know, you ask? Well, I assume Mickey Mouse doesn't get a salary at all. And anything times zero is zero. Therefore, he makes $357,142 MORE than Mickey, but not 357,142 TIMES as much. Just a bit of math nerd trivia for ya! :rotfl:

Unless the OP was talking about the pay for the cast members who dress as Mickey Mouse, but any "real" salary would push that number well beyond Bill Gates territory. On the other hand, the $357K salary is actually less than I expected for someone in Weiss's position (though clearly enough to do very well).

Another fact: Why are there Hidden Mickeys on the rail leading up to Cinderella Castle? When Walt Disney World first opened, the roses that make the shadow on the rail were not there. Little children poked their heads through the round openings and got their heads caught. The Imagineers put the roses there to keep the kids from putting their heads there or climbing through them and falling into the water, as well as to make some Hidden Mickeys. When the sun is right, it makes Mickey shadows on the sidewalk.

That is very low I believe. I know my dad a lowly sales man makes about $330K a year. (He was stupid and left his tax info out on the table when he went away to WDW for a week, and my brother and I of course had to look, I mean come on cover that stuff up if you dont want us to see it!)

Ever wonder where the stars of Disney attractions go when the final curtain falls? Here are some answers.
Mr. Ham and Mr. Eggz, stars of the late, great "Kitchen Kaberet", now reside in the giant Easter basket used in the easter parade. They are brightly painted and face down and inwards so the parade-going masses might miss them as their faces are not visible, but they are surely there. I saw the float at rest and you can still see their faces, complete with Mr. Eggz humongous, stupid grin.
The lifelike chickens, who for years covered the road in the famous car crash scene of the mourned "World of Motion," have found a new home at Mickey's Toontown Fair.

Did you know that the only name allowed to face Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is Walt's. This is another reason why the name on the Ice Cream Shop window is his. Another example is the sign over the train station on Main Street.

The WDW Railroad trains get a whopping 792 feet/gallon of fuel! No wonder we pay so much to go there!

You can hear the sound of tap shoes if you listen outside the "Dance Studio" on Main Street, USA.
