WDW Facts! Did you know...

In the Adventurer's Club Library, the piano that has crashed through the ceiling has a name, Fingers.

Full name: Fingers Zambesi.

The Test Track semi truck is driven by a cardboard cutout of Lyndon Johnson.

Did you know that if you've read all of this thread, up to this point, that you've learned more than my DH and I did on our KTTK tour? ;)

I kno nothing of Disney except that Mickey mouse is the biggest charecter. :rotfl:

Well...THAT would be incorrect....

The BIGGEST Character on Disnet property would be Jafar from Aladdin

Actually....if you are going for the BIGGEST character on Disney property it would be Sulley. Or if it is one that you cannot meet and greet it would be Malificent as the dragon in Fantasmic. :wave2:

Guests experiencing The Great Move Ride at Disney-MGM in its first year were sometimes subjected to a gruesome surprise as the ride passed through the Tarzan set. Apparently, the constant up-and-down movement of the animatronic chimpanze in this scene would eventually cause the figure's head to come loose. So periodically Cheetah would literally lose his head. It would tumble off his neck and disappear into the faux foliage, or worse, fall into the lap of a passing guests. How'd you like THAT sourvenir?

Did you know Disney's Animal Kingdom was first proposed in 1989. Also, the original name for Animal Kingdom was Wild Animal Kingdom...it was later changed.

Did you you that Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom is the only one out of the four Disney Theme Parks (Tokyo, LA, Florida and Paris) that dosn't have the Pinocchio's Daring Jounrey Dark Ride! Ugh...so not fair.

Did you know that Main Street is designed perfectly! they have Food on the right side so when you are arriving you will grab something to eat and they have gift shops on the left so before you leave you will grab a souvenier

Did you know that Disney World recycles all the human waste from the parks and hotels.... It's true, the solid and liquids are seperated and the solids are used as fertilizer on the tree farm, where all the trees for the parks are grown. The liquids are then cleaned naturally by growing hydrangas in them and then the water is sent off to the sprinkler system. When you look around, you'll see little signs that say "THIS IS NOT DRINKING WATER!" Now you know what they really mean by that!

HOW SCANDELOUS!!! LOL!

Reclaimed water irrigation is pretty common in Florida. Some places will put out signs, others don't.

A friend of mine has reclaimed and he can water twice as much under the water restrictions that those with their irrigation connected to the regular tap.

My advice, stick to the pools and water parks. :)

Spaceship Earth, the visual and thematic centerpiece of Epcot, weighs 16 million pounds -- more than three times that of a Space Shuttle fully fueled and ready for launch. The outer "skin" of Spaceship Earth is made up of 11,324 aluminum and plastic-alloy triangles. Also, did you know that rainwater never falls off the sphere? It's absorbed into the ball and funneled away.

"The sun, which is at it's highest and hottest point at noon, heats and melts the grease on the tracks of the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to its thinnest point as the day wears on, and thus the train goes faster in the afternoon. The ride's average speed it about 30 MPH, but can reach speeds of up to 33 MPH, which is faster than Space Mountain! Be sure to sit in the back of the train if you want to the ride to feel even faster!"

Uncomfirmed. Just a fun fact I found. :flower:

Myst

Woooo. I'm impressed! :flower:
