DH and I are traveling to WDW in January with 2 DS, ages 4 and 13 months at time of travel. We can't decide between the WL or Poly. Which do you think is better for small children and why? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

If price isn't an issue I would go with the Poly. Being on the monorail makes a huge difference when travelling with small children. At the Poly you can take the monorail or boat to MK, and take the monorail (either transfer or walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center) to EPCOT.

My personal opinion is that the Polynesian has a more relaxing feel to it. The rooms are good sized (much bigger than WL) giving you a lot of space for your little ones. Watching Wishes from the beach or pool is magical!

Poly has the monorail to MK. WL has the boat. They both would be good choices.

Having stayed at both with kids, I would say Poly if price is no object.

I love the WL and think that over-all the theme is more impressive and perfect for winter travel - nice warm cozy feel inside with no walking outside to get to other parts of the resort.

Poly wins hands down for transportation with little ones - the boat and the monorail are fantastic. You could spend an hour just riding them around on the monorail and they'd be thrilled. It was a great late night thing I could do with DS before bed - ride the loop past the MK, switch at TTC for EPCOT, switch again and be back at the resort. It was some of our most magical time.
