WDW during Christmas season.

We arrive the Sat after Thanksgiving. I am so excited. I have read it is a great time to go. Of your dates I think the later one as well.

We like to go one of the first two weeks of December as all the Christmas decorations are up by the beginning of the month. But keep in mind the first two weeks of December are the lowest points for DVC members so a lot of us are there at that time. Still seems like crowds aren't too bad though. You will love it during the Christmas season. It is wonderful. Make sure to check out a bunch of the resorts for some great decorations, trees and even a huge real gingerbread house inside the Grand Floridian resort. I can smell it now.........MMMMMMM!

Which other resorts are the best to check out if we have time? We have an 'Ohana and 1900 PF reservations so we will def be seeing those hotels.

Our dates are flexible, so maybe Nov 25th-Dec 2nd 2017 would be the best choice as far as crowds levels go?

We went the second week of December 2015 and it was amazing! The parks were so quiet, we mentioned that would could've played an entire roller hockey game in World Showcase and still not have hit anyone. It was really very relaxing and wait times were very minimal for almost everything. We only did the party on a weeknight but it was really awesome and we never felt like the crowds were overwhelming. That Saturday (12/12) though...it was MOBBED. We couldn't believe how the crowds had changed so drastically overnight! That week in general though was great and I would 100% go again. It seemed we hit the perfect sweet spot between post-Thanksgiving, and pre-Christmas rush. Really lovely!

You can take a nice little boat ride from the Contemporary docks or Magic Kingdom to check out the Wilderness Lodge lobby. That is also nice at Christmas.

The week before Christmas. We went 12/16-12/27/14. Crowds were AWESOME until 2D before Christmas & still good then. You could really feel the difference in crowds on Christmas Eve. 1st part of trip crowd level was better than when we go in February & May/June. Get tickets for MVMCP, see the Candlelight Processional, visit deluxe resorts for decorations. Definitely go to GF to see the Gingerbread House. Eat @ BoG & HDDMR, both a little different @ Christmas. BoG decorated beautifully @ Christmas. Visit countries in EP to see how they celebrate Christmas, Holidays Around the World. See Joyful @ EP, group singing Christmas songs. See holiday version of fireworks @ MK & EP. Get PP photos @ the Christmas trees @ each park.

Even though the trip is over a year away it's a little exciting starting the 1st stage of planning. Now just have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to look at booking a package. Was told can't book until it's 499 days or less from the last day of vacation.

Well the prices and ability to book came today for the week we choose, Dec 9-16 2017. We booked and decided on Riverside, haven't stayed there yet, so excited. Only bad thing is it's 16 months away and really not much to plan for a while, just make payments towards the package. Sad that we never got a chance to see the Osborne Lights. Will they have anything in its place next year anyone know or will it just be nothing?
