Does anyone know how this discount works? I've seen few random things here and there about a military/teacher/nurse disount at Swan & Dolphin, but never heard or seen anything else about a nurses' discount at any other resort. Does Disney offer this across the board? If so, how do I claim it? I vaguely remember asking about this when I booked (directly w/Disney) the trip we just came back from, where we stayed at ASM. I think they had told me they didn't offer anything.
Thanks!!

I've only heard about the discounts at the Dolphin and the Swan which are not Disney owned hotels. For Disney owned hotels, the only discount I've seen are the general ones that are advertised, military discount, Florida resident discounts, and AP holders.

As a RN, I surely wish Disney would acknowledge us! We're a special group of people!

Wow--I never thought about a discount for being a nurse. I'd love a discount for being a nurse (Rn here too).

I am an RN too..The only 2 hotels that offer it are Swan and Dolphin since they are not Disney owned and operated. The amount varies.I have gotten rooms there as low as $159 per night in the off season. Not bad considering the Epcot Resort area goes for a lot more per night.Since they are not Disney owned or operated,You can not get the dining plan or Magical express when you stay there .

I'm an RN as well....how nice for them to do that! It's definitely something I'll look into when we book our next trip. Hubby isn't really coming around to going next year. But I'm still working on him.....

Another RN here too! I never think to ask for discounts. My DH is a fireman and he gets discounts galore (20% off at Sports Authority being the biggest). He also remembers to ask everywhere.

BTW SweetMissy --love your daughters name-hehehe!

Love your name too! ;) We never think to ask for discounts either. My husband is a disabled vet....nothing major, just a hurt shoulder but it only says retired or active military so I'm assuming this doesn't apply to him.
