WDW/DCL Western Caribbean Honeymoon Extravaganza!! DONE!!! - PG 51!!

So, I just spent the better part of my afternoon reading your report and I'm totally loving it! Your wedding pics were awesome, they made me think of my own wedding. We had a lot of Disney touches to our wedding-invitations, cake topper, our 1st dance was to 'Promise' (the song after Illuminations), we cut the cake to 'When You Wish Upon a Star' and we walked out of the chapel to When You Wish Upon a Star playing on the organ. My dress even had little hidden Mickeys on it in the beadwork (unintentional but very cool!).

I'm enjoying reading the cruise portion of the trip report because we're doing our 1st Disney cruise on the Magic in January and it's nice to read the good and not so good things about it.

I'm also not a big shopper but when it comes to buying stuff in WDW/for WDW, I'm all over it!

Your Photopass pics are great, now I'm going to look into maybe doing the CD for our next trip...

Catch up, girl! We are pretty funny in WDW, especially once we get a few drinks in us! Yeah, I am so happy with all our photopass pictures. I just wish our shirts weren't so clashing that last night!

Oh great!! I love when new readers jump in! We (and when I say we, I mean I) seriously considered "Promise" for a wedding song!

You might have an easier time than us just being that your cruise is in Jan. I hope that I am able to help you with this TR!! Two tips so far...definitely make sure you book Palo brunch! And DON'T go to Topsiders for lunch on the first day.

All caught up! I am so sorry you had such a hard start to get to the cruise! We hired a car to take us and I would do that again in a heartbeat- we were able to stop for stuff and got to the port when WE wanted to. There were very few people checking in with us, and so we got through quickly. Plus, the buffet had calmed down by then, there were seats everywhere. I'm glad you enjoyed Palo's brunch! Their pizza IS delicious!!! I think I'll have to make the one I liked soon on the grill- I had forgotten all about it until I saw your pics. But you would hate the one I loved- it was with grapes and gorgonzola. So sad the food on the rest of the cruise wasn't so good, though! I remember thinking a couple of things I ate were just so-so, but as a whole I enjoyed most of it. I guess the new menu must need some help!

I would have been the same way with the car fiasco. In fact ours didnt go as planned and was like you I kind of harbor my ill feeling and my planning and get frustrated that things didnt go the way that I PLANNED Them too LOL. But glad yall got on the boat.. and as my mom would say.. maybe it wasnt meant for yall to drive, car could have broken down and yall would have mised the ship completly. So maybe it was meant to be (but if your like me your thinking BUT STILL i planned for us to be there at a certain time.. YA I feel ya hun im with ya LOL)

Also Palo Im so jealous we didnt get brunch.. guess thats what next time is always for! LOL

Why, thank you! I appreciate the outfit compliments because, like I said, I never buy clothes and made a big deal about buying JUST the right outfits for this trip! THAT yellow sundress, in particular, came from BOB's and was probably $20! I refuse to spend a lot of money on clothes when you can find cute stuff for cheap! Most of my clothes come from Old Navy or Target!

That's a good way to look at it. I believe everything happens for a reason too but it was still not fun!

I'm finally caught up, Nikki! You've been quite the busy writer!! I'm so sorry the cruise wasn't everything you had hoped for.

It is easy to forget your limits though - Alaskan King Crab legs followed by pancakes with freshly whipped cream followed by sausage pizza - not the most gastrointestinally sound brunch!

Yeah, I don't think I would combine crab legs, pancakes, and pizza in the same meal! LOL

still loving the trip report....I sort of understand your feelings about the cruise so far....we were lost on our first cruise too...but once we got the hang of it...and enjoying the relaxation and ports we really enjoyed it.
on our first cruise we all said on day 3 that we would never cruise again...just not our thing...welll by day 7 we loved it and went on 2 more cruises...but with another cruise line...and I will say 2 words for you that will change your cruising outlook

We've cruised twice on Princess - can't remember if we even saw children during either one. I guess we did at the family pools so we just avoided those! And the food........the food was soooo excellent in the restrauants - just OK in the buffet - only went there for a snack!

I know what you mean about all the preparation and anticipation for a big trip, etc. Sometimes there is no way it can live up to our expectations. I hope by the time the cruise was over, you were not disappointed!

Wow, since I just found your trip report today (have no idea where I've been that I missed it), I am going to start at the beginning, so please forgive me.

Your wedding was superb!!! Beautiful dress, hair, and I loved your jewelry!! Your makeup looked beautiful in the pictures, but it's so hard when you look in a mirror and don't see "yourself". Tom looked so handsome and your wedding and reception pictures are fantastic!!

LOVED your cake and tables!! Oh my goodness girl!! What an absolute genius you are!!! Fantastic, all the way around!!

I am so glad your cake was good despite a lazy baker! And how crazy that your photographer got lost!

Love your mickey/minnie kissing shirt!! Adorable! Especially with your ears! I can't believe your ME bus experience. Sheesh! Talk about being a party pooper!! Great secret keeping about the poly!

Your cat is so gorgeous! I am so not a cat person, so guess who cats gravitate to? Yep, yours truly. I just have always been around dogs and I understand them better. What is it about cats anyway? They come up to you, rubbing against your leg, purring, you bend down and pet them. They lie down, asking for a belly rub and to thank you dig their claws into your hand and bite you! Ouch!!

Thank goodness for kidney stone resolution!! I hope Toms elbow gets better soon in your trip report. It looks VERY painful!

I must say I have enjoyed all of your food porn and your photopass pictures, but the test track photo just stands out so vividly as when I saw it I was !!! Can't wait to see even more!!

How sad that you had to deal with the stress of transportation, kids misbehaving and lunch crowds, as a start to your cruise. It's so hard to have expectations and have them crumble. I hope that if you choose to cruise again, that it will be a completely different experience. The really bad thing is, that if you don't like the food you can't exactly run down the street for take-out!

Well those are some of the things I really wanted to comment on, but I know I forgot a million others. Sorry to hijack your thread with this long post, but I am so enjoying this ans wanted you to know!!!
