I'm so sorry about your plans not going how you expected. I hate when that happens. DH can always talk me off the ledge cause he is much more calm (usually) than I am when things don't go like I have planned them. It works out well - when one of us is crazy over something, the other one keeps a cool head! Marriage is like that!

Can't wait to hear about the cruise! I LOVE cruising! It is my most favorite vacation! Sooooo relaxing!

I had a feeling that was how things were going to go. I still would have been upset as well just because you plan for so long for things to go one way and then it doesn't work out how you wanted, very disappointing.

WAH! I am so sorry things didn't go as planned - it is always difficult when you have your heart set on something and it doesn't happen - but it sounds like you married a total keeper! I love it that he just wouldn't stop until he made things better for his girl... and that may not be the perfect start to a vacation, but it is a WONDERFUL start to a marriage!

NO it was NOT a good start to the vacation AT ALL, and I think it kind of set the mood for the whole trip, unfortunately.

Yeah I was saying the same thing! I was so mad to just be sitting around, waiting for the bus when I planned on driving down early, windows opened, listening to music, all excited.

Boo to Avis, is right!! They were not helpful at all, and I KNOW it was my fault for not reading the fine print that had the office hours but I never would have thought it would close so early!

Yes, breakfast at Kona was great! And that was the last great breakfast I had on this trip..........



I feel like I've hinted at it enough....the cruise was not our BEST vacation. BUT we still took awesome pics!

Day 7 ~ July 25, 2009 (A date that's been etched in my mind since March '08)​

So we wait in the lobby of the Poly. I'm, of course, stressing out, thinking they didn't take our luggage, is our luggage going to be on THIS bus? I don't see it with the other luggage going under the bus...blah blah STRESS! I didn't plan for this, therefore, I didn't have time to think it all out!!

The ride went quickly. I enjoyed the video of Mickey and friends getting ready for their cruise and pretty soon, we had the first moment that I had been looking forward to...our first glimpse of the Magic!

I'm sorry guys! But it's about a thousand degrees in my second floor apartment with NO air conditioner and the fan that I've had for 15 years just decided to stop working...gotta make a Target run! I really had planned on writing more but this is necessary!

SOOOO sorry about the tease, guys!!! Here's the thing. I live in an apartment on the second floor, so right off the bat, it's hotter that usual. Now you wouldn't think that after spending money on a week in WDW followed by a week on DCL that I am cheap but I am!! I'm super cheap!!

For example, the TV in my bedroom is so old that it doesn't even have the AV hookups for a DVD player! We have to use a converter box that the DVD player plugs into. So whenever we want to watch a DVD in the bedroom, we have to unscrew the cable from the back of the TV and screw in teh cable from the converter box. BUT, I won't get a new TV because this one works just fine! (Even though 19 in tubes are probably pretty affordable!)

So this summer has been pretty mild so far. Not really too many hot days. So we never put in the air conditioner units. First of all, I hate not being able to look out the window but MOSTLY because I HATE the electric bill!! So we've decided to just get by on the fan.

Well, this week has been the hottest so far, and just like the TV, I've had this little oscillating fan forever! Of course, yesterday is the day it decideds to just stop.

So while I'm writing the start to the cruise portion of the TR, Tom looks like he's about to either throw up or cry and that's when I had to stop so we could to go Target to get another fan.

Well OF COURSE, the directions are clearly written in another language and some computer program translated them into english because they are impossible to read. Then one piece isn't coming off the way it should so BACK to Target we had to go to exchange it and finally around 10:30, we had some air flowing in this oven!!
