Day 7 ~ July 25, 2009 (A date that has been etched in my head since March '08)
So I'm up at like 7, just waiting for 7:30 to come so we can call
Avis and see what the deal is.
At exactly 7:30, Tom calls. Despite the fact that the woman Tom spoke to last night told him they hold our reservation for 15 hours, the man he was talking to now told him that they don't have ANY cars. They are all brough to the airport overnight and they won't know until around 11:00 if they'll have a car for us or not.

AND I'm crying!
Now what?!
Tom was really so good this morning because I was devastated. "Nik, isn't there a Disney transportation to the port?" Now at this point, I'm just defeated and thinking we're NOT going on this cuise so I say, "Yes but you have to book it in advance!"
Well that wasn't good enough for him. He called the front desk and LUCKILY there is a
DCL desk at our resort. (They are not at all of them!)
OUR SAVIOR, Carolyn, answered the phone and said that we're lucky she answered because she's not supposed to be at her desk until 8. Well Tom explained the situation and she was able to get us 2 seats on the
Disney Cruise Line bus to the port. People would be coming around to pick up our luggage at 9, and meet near the DCL desk in the lobby at 11:30 for pick-up.
Well that was a relief. But I was still kind of upset. I've had this vision in my mind of how this morning was going to go for over a year. Now we weren't leaving until 11:30? I was planning on either being in the port waiting for my number to be called or being on the boat by then. Oh well, I was just thankful we were going!!!
So since we now had HOURS to kill, we decided to try Kona Cafe for breakfast, after all.
We ordered the Pressed Pot of Coffee...I needed it BAD. (I think I was still shaking from fear at this point.)
Look, the lights from Kona made a hidden mickey in the coffe!
I got the french toast and Tom got blueberry pancakes. I just want you to look at this french toast. Looks like what you'd expect to get when you order breakfast from a restaurant, right? And it tasted delicious...I just want you to keep this in mind because I will refer to this french toast in the future!
At the end of our meal, our waitress brought us another celebration card that
everyone signed, wishing us congratulations, AND gave us a complimentary dessert! That made us a little happy.
After breakfast, we still had a lot of time to kill, so we decided to leave our stuff with bell services and go to the MK one more time.
Well, this is how upset we must have been that morning...we did not take ONE picture!!! In fact, I keep questioning whether we really DID go to the MK that morning...but I'm sure we did.
We didn't stay long at all and were soon back in the Poly, just waiting. We were kind of in a sour mood. This was not the best start to our next vacation........
Up Next: On our way to the cruise!!
