WDW/DCL Western Caribbean Honeymoon Extravaganza!! 7/19-8/1 PTR

Okay! Got my Mickey Mail the other day, sooo exciting!! Now that school is out, I have lists and lists of things to do!! Well yesterday's plan was to go shopping with my sister and niece to get shoes for her for the wedding! The shoe part was unsuccessful but any excuse to see "that baby" (as we call her) is a good thing! Here are some pictures of her. She turns a year old on July 9th, where has the time gone!? These are from about a month or so ago. She already looks so different. But isn't she just the cutest!!!

I love this one because since she was born, I've been called "Aunt Paparazzi" for taking so many pictures of her. This is such a paparazzi, "don't take my picture" shot!!

So today I was busy busy busy!! I had a long list and accomplished almost all of it. The only things I didn't do was go to the bank, call the baker and call the priest...eh, I'll do it Monday....

But I did....call the DJ, print pictures, erase memory cards, cleaned out closets, brought old clothes/towels to good will, wrote thank you notes from my shower gifts, made an appoinment for a pre-wedding waxing (ouch!) and bought an overdue christening card. phew.

On top of all that...I went shopping for the vacation!!!!!!!! Not clothes and fun stuff, like I've been doing the past year but the essentials, which was still king of fun! So here's what I got...underwear, t-shirts for Tom, toothbrushes, AA batteries, video camera tapes (yes, I'm old school), wet wipes, shower poof, deodorant, sunscreen, chapstick, razors, hairties, foot powder and dramamine!

Now I have two giant bags in my living room...one filled with wedding stuff and the other filled with honeymoon stuff.

Lastly...tomorrow is my bachelorette party! Because I'm not the "drunken party all night long, dance club, male strippers and cakes in the shape of a part of the male anatomy" type of girl, we are going to Great Adventure!! Sounds awesome right?? Well apparently, not to my "friends" all of whom "can't go." So...it's just going to be me, my sister and my other two bridesmaids, which I'd kind of almost rather! Too many people always make it difficult to make decisions. So I'll have pictures and updates from that soon!!

Soooo close now!! :bride:

Have a great bachelorette party!

I'm like you. Not the getting drunk type of party girl either.

So yesterday was the big day at Six Flags Great Adventure!! It was fun, but it was NOT disney!! I took a picture with Robin (of Batman and Robin) and then he asked me what time it was. Can you imagine Aladdin asking you the time? Then we past by, who I assume was the Riddler and some cat woman (not Catwoman, she was in some sort of tan leapard outfit) and they were BSing about people they work with or whatever. You would NEVER see anyone break character at Disney!! The bathrooms were disgusting, we had to pay $25 for a "Flash Pass" and we waited 30 mins on the entrance line, which were so poorly organized, people were just squeezing in around us. Oh AND, my, almost 1 year old, niece came with and she wasn't allowed to ride ANYTHING because she can't walk yet, which apparently is a requirment. I mean, even the carousel, which, if she could walk or not, my sister was going to hold her up on the horse. Oh well....here are some pics!

My niece's very first character picture

Me with Robin and Green Lantern...I'm not sure I like where GL's eyes are...

And us with the Great Adventure creepy man. Even our smiles look like we are kind of unsure about taking a picture with this weird looking costumed person...

wow!

What a weird interaction.

I totally agree. Six flags is less Disney as days go by.

But your niece is soooooooooooooo cute! I just want to tickle her hehe

That is SOOOOOOOOOOO funny- you took pictures from the Jesus parking lot across rt. 1, but none of your food???:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That's a riot!!!

You want food porn?? You got it!! Went to Tejas last night and this time I took my camera specifically for the FOOD!

Here are the chips and salsa you get when you sit down.

Ah, the delicious margaritas!!!
ry%3D400

Let me just tell you, the margaritas are STRONG! And I don't know what happened last night but just one of them put me out! We went from Tejas to the TUX place so Tom could get measured, then we went home to watch some Buffy and I fell asleep on the couch in 10 mins in. It was like 7 o'clock! Tom woke me up and I just crawled to bed and didn't wake up until 8 this morning!! That's later than I usually wake up!

Tom got the Chorizo Mexican as his meal.

I got the Cheese Enchilladas with fries. (I tried to use the "food" feature on my camera but I think it just came out better with the flash on.)
ry%3D400

If this doesn't come with Tom's meal, he HAS to get a side of it. The BEST cornbread you will ever taste!
ry%3D400

Empty drink and chips! You can even sort of see Tom looks sad. Or maybe he's just resting his head on his hand because the margarita got to him too!

If you're EVER within 30 miles of this place, do yourself a favor and make the detour! You won't regret it!

(As a side note, because I mentioned it after the 'ritas, if you've never seen the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, you've really missed a great show. I was never interested in it when it was on TV. I thought it looked kind of lame but Tom as a big fan so a few months ago, we started watching the seasons and it really is such a fantastic show!! Very well written, funny and, aside from vampires and demons, very realistic and dramatic.)

I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooveeee Buffy! :)

I only got 4 seasons on DVD now. But sometimes they are cheaper and I buy them.

Will have to wait for September for more though as I don't get paid during the summer :)

Hey cutie!

Didn't hear from you about the meeting?

3pm in front of the sci-fi car.

Is that ok?

Thank-you for the food porn. I feel much better now. :goodvibes Hey! How cute is your niece???!!:cutie: How awesome is that tank top!?!:thumbsup2 How crappy is Great Adventure?!?:scared1:

Seriously- we need to take our kids there, they haven't been, and they would LOVE the rollercoasters!:woohoo::woohoo: But I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dreading going there!! We have all been spoiled by Disney, I think. :)

It's getting closer and closer........:banana::banana::banana:

Really sad about the accident.

But I hope the monorail system won't be down when we go.

The resort we chose the resort is for the monorail.

We don't want to pay that extra money and don't have the monorail :(

What do you think Nikki?

What?? What happened?? I need to do some investigating!

I have been SOO neglecting my PTR! I have been non-stop busy since school got out. I really feel like it's my full time job to get things done for the wedding. For the past two weeks, I have had lists for every day and I can't believe I only have a few days left!!!!!!!

Last night, I spent 5 hours picking out my clothes for the honeymoon. I pulled out all my potential shorts, skirts, dresses, and tops. I match bottoms with tops, decided which ones I wanted for daytime Disney and nighttime Disney, which I wanted for daytime cruise and nighttime cruise. Which tops I was going to take as "extra." Of course, I can't just match a top with a bottom without trying it on! (I think that's why it took so long!) Now that all the outfits are picked (and washed), today I need to decide which days I'm wearing each one (I can't just put them in the suitcase, there needs to be a PLAN for everything!!) and pack!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and I also have to worry about DFi getting himself packed. He does NOT follow the same system I do, quite the opposite actually, which makes me nervous.

Of course, that can't be done until AFTER I take the chocolate stars I made to the bakery for our cake AND take all of our things to the reception hall, which is going to be a pain because of the massive amount of snowglobes and bases we have for the centerpieces. I feel like once today is over, I'll feel much better because everything that needed to be done is now done and out of my hands.

:bride:

I still haven't done my packing...usually I do the same thing you do and I'm worrying myself because I'm rapidly running out of time!

It will all be so beautiful, though...but I know it feels so much better to get everything done and crossed off the "to do" list!
