Does anyone know if spending at the resorts or parks show up as Travel? Southwest Chase visa is having a 5x point offer on Travel purchases. If so I rather use this than my Sapphire.

The down payment on my DVC membership did show up as travel on my SW card. Not sure about resorts or parks though.

I would use the Sapphire card and use the pay yourself back option. When you charge an item say dinner for $50. you get 3 time the points so that would be 150 points. Then you pay yourself back and your card gets a credit back the $50 that you spent and you also keep 75 of the 150 points you earned. So you can actually vacation for nothing and still earn points. So I would charge everything to your MB and it will credit as travel giveing you 3 time the point per dollar and then do the pay yourself back.

Spending at the parks did not code as travel on my CSP, but those charges made on my magicband did. What i was told was that charges through the magic band are run through the hotel side, not the theme park side so they process as travel (hotel) vs entertainment (theme park)

That's not how pay yourself back works. OP didn't specify but let's say that they have the CSR. If they spend $50 on dining, that would be 150 chase points, you can use those points to cash out at 1.5cpp. Or $2.25. The maximum you can Pay Yourself Back is the amount of eligible charges but you have to have that many points. In this case 3,400 points to wipe out that $50 dinner bill. OP is correct, the RR Visa deal for 5x on travel is a great deal, much better than using a CSR or CSP.
